Is something like this covered under warranty? I know if I went to a non dealership, I may be risking some damage if they have a lift and don't lift the vehicle at the right spot (assuming they need to use a lift).

No, it's not covered under warranty.

Yes, a lift (or floor jack) needs to be used.

Go to America's Tire (@Discount Tire's name on the west coast). They will use pucks on a floor jack, to lift the car. (thought I was on Mach-E forum )Tire will be removed from rim, PATCHED (not plugged), remounted, and balanced, and then returned to the vehicle.

Note that most tire stores have a big sale on Memorial Day weekend, but they should prioritize an active leak.

Can’t see if you posted a photo or not.

I’ve started fixing my own for the past 5 years or so. Buy a good quality kit, and it’s not hard at all. Takes all of 10-15 minutes. Never had one fail. Just make sure it’s fixable puncture and meets all the requirements of not close to sidewall, size, etc.
Here is a good quality USA made kit.

A tire puncture is only covered by the tire and wheel package warranty you can buy. Not the truck warranty.

Anyone can change tires, and the lifting spots are identical on the Lightning to the gas trucks.

Batteries are like everything else on a vehicle. Warranty will never cover damage, just defects. Your Ford dealer could screw it up and be on the hook for the damage, just like an independent shop. The shop is liable if they damage something.

I do all my own tire changes, rotations, and patches (unless the damage is not repairable). It's not complex.

However, if you've never done this before and you're not prepared to deal with a blowout because of a bad repair, I suggest you take it to your local discount tire shop. If you're afraid of damage to your vehicle, invest in a high quality floor jack and jack stands so you can safely remove the wheel and tire from the vehicle to take it in to have it repaired. You can put the spare on, so it's not like the truck will be undrivable.

I'm sure I'm being Captain Obvious here, but always use wheel chocks if using a jack.
