I knew about regen when the brake pedal is pressed, I was talking about regen when no pedals are pressed.
The regen is the main reason EV cars have a lot of issues with brakes corroding as they don't usually heat up enough to evaporate the moisture.
I use my brakes so little (Audi Q5) on my way to and from work that they ended up glazing up after a year. With an EV i dont think the mechanical brakes would ever be used other than a full stop.
