This is exactly why I did not keep my Ford Charge Station Pro. Nor would I buy any car company labeled EV charger.

The dealership won't have a clue, why would they? What a joke.

At this point, I would just dremel the little plastic tab it's caught on and just drape the plug over the unit. There are folk here who can 3d print a cap for it to keep dust/debris out.

I tend to agree, but this was, unfortunately a user induced issue. I've been looking at my station pro and have absolutely no idea how I could jam it on this way. My charger has been just fine for my needs and cost me nothing extra.

LOL, man you can't tease us like that. Details!! You might save someone else a lot of time and trouble in case it happens again. Also, who's the dealer that fixed it, let's give kudos where it's deserved.

The dealer is Ourisman Ford of Manassas in Manassas, Virginia.

The tech actually tried it the way I had initially tried, but used a smaller flat blade screw driver and a bit more brute force (I was worried about ripping the thing off the side of the house even though I should not have been).

Essentially, what he did was place the blade of the screw driver between the plug and the silver latch mechanism (you will have to look at the pictures that I posted earlier) and lifted/pried upwards and moved the screw driver around while pulling at the same time. He then had me restore power to the charger and plug it into the truck to make sure it would charge and release from the truck.

PS - Come visit Manassas and the Washington DC area. We are rich in history with plenty to see!

Thanks for the update! I'm sure it was a pain between the wait and the hassle/run around but I'm happy to see that some dealers are stepping up.
