Rheostat/dimming of panel lights and screen

Hello I am a new owner of a 2022 Lightning that I am loving, but having an issue with the +/- light controls. Sometimes the panel seems too dim and the +/- buttons do not seem to change anything. Also the central screen seems to auto dim or brighten according to ambient light but I cannot find the settings for this. Does anyone have a good explanation of how these work and know exactly how the the panel lights and screen brightness are controlled?

I think the fundamental flaw in your understanding is your assumption that Ford software works in some logical way.

(I haven't figured it out either... sometimes adjustments seem to stick; sometimes not)

Thanks for the tip. That totally fixed it. Rotated the headlight selection one “notch” CCW and the dimming buttons worked as expected. This is very helpful.
