Start up and shut down sound not playing?

Even the warning sounds in Bluecruise sound cooler when it starts up with the cool sounds. Really annoying.

Just for grins, try starting your truck with and then without the seat belt and see if you notice anything different. Repeat a couple of times.

The annoying chimes don’t play when it’s buckled. But cool’s sounds don’t play either. When the cool start up sounds happen it’s like a new sound profile is loaded into the car.

It's weird that the sounds sometimes come from the IPC speaker and sometimes come from the audio. There is a thread or two just on that phenomena.

It was hard to make out over the seat motor sounds. Definitely hear the seat belt chimes (4 repeating tones) at the start - but less harsh, more melodic (ba-bump instead of do-do-do). Maybe heard a "whoosh" noise when turning off?

The BC warning sounds are similar to mine, again more melodic (if that's a word).

P.S. nice touch asking @Ford Motor Company to "chime" in!

That’s it. I’ll record what it does on the regular so you can hear the difference. But the woosh at the end is also one of the sounds.

I had a Mach e for a few weeks and it played the cool sounds on every start and stop. So weird

I’ve driven a Mach-e, every trim level of the Lightning, and ICE F-150’s.

For some reason, Ford gave the platinum the same system sounds as the Mach-e but made the rest of the Lightnings sound like the ICE trucks. You’d think they would keep things the same across their electric lineup, or at the very least make all the 15” screens the same.

Yeah. But my Platinum sounds like an ice truck. That’s what I’m trying to fix. Man if ford would fix its software, I feel like all the issues are software related. Including all the battery module failures.

@Jesse-Infotainment may be the person to ask about this. He’s the resident expert on module updates. He may know where these sounds are stored and what settings to change to get them back.

I tried pretty hard to make it work and it wouldnt. I was going to get a Platinum acm next to try and never got around to it.

Thanks! If you ever get a platinum ACM to work, let us know! I would be interested in doing this to my Flash someday if it isn’t too big of a deal.

Just wonder why they play sometimes and most of the time they don’t. But in the Mach e they play all the time and from what I’ve heard in other platinums as well

Oh sorry I misunderstood..

The ICE trucks had issues with the chimes and it was the DSP firmware.

I had to roll back the DSP for several people due to an update reverting the chimes to the cluster back up.

The Chimes revert to the cluster speaker when the ACM/DSP isnt detected within enough time.
