Anyone else interested in whether and when Ford can/will enable this in the Lightning? It has a SIM built-in and I presume its location can be tracked like other modern vehicles. Is this something that is already enabled and I just didn't realize it?

The Vehicle Locate feature allows you to find the location of your parked and activated vehicle.

Important Notes:

• Vehicle Location is disabled while your vehicle is in motion.
• The Guides do not have access to your remote commands. Therefore, they are unable to unlock, lock, locate or control your vehicle.
• Ford Motor Company is not able to track or disable vehicles. We recommend contacting your local police department regarding stolen vehicles.

To Locate Your Vehicle:

1. Ensure that your mobile device location services are set to on.
2. Log in to the FordPass App.
3. Navigate to the Vehicle landing page.
4. Your vehicle's last detected location address will appear at the top of the page.
   • Note: The last updated date and time are listed above the location address.
   • To refresh the page, pull down from the top of the screen and release.
5. To view your vehicle's location in a map view, tap the address.
6. The Vehicle Location Map will appear.
   • Your mobile device location is represented by the Layered Circle icon.
   • Your vehicle's location is represented by the Vehicle Pin.

Thanks, I realize they're not actively doing it in America, but it is being done elsewhere. I'm referring to the service (currently offered in Eurore) that actively tracks and recognizes signs from your vehicle that indicate it's likely being stolen, and alerts the owner via FordPass.

Having this type of capability can potentially reduce your insurance premium.

Law enforcement agencies with the proper authority can request vehicle location to help recover stolen vehicles.

I keep an AirTag(with a heavy duty case) in the glovebox.

I have my Bronco setup in FordPass to alert me by phone notification every time the door is opened. I also have an airtag mounted in the truck. If you are doing the airtag be sure to place it above the window line, range is significantly limited if it’s mounted where the signal has to pass through metal rather than glass. The C pillar above the window will be a good location for the Lightning. I use these Pelican mounts for the airtags.

My Bronco has Securialert as one of the options. Here are screen shots of what I see in FordPass on the Bronco. My Lightning Pro doesn’t show anything similar, but it’s the base model so I’m not surprised.
