Ever since I hauled a load of gravel, I’ve been getting tailgate ajar and rear parking sensors disabled alerts. I did remove a piece of gravel from the left side latch but I don’t see any more in there and the mechanism doesn’t seem obstructed.

It will close and lock both manually and with the buttons/remote but it seems like after it latches the left side is a bit looser than it used to be. Any suggestions for something that I can fix or should I just take it into the dealership?

When I bought mine it had that. They worked on it a day or so, replaced the latch and sensor after trying to adjust the bolt it latches on to. No good suggestion here 🤨

Check the rubber bumpers attached to the truck bed near the top where the tailgate latches. I had one turn about 90 degrees after hauling a load of junk to the dump. The tailgate would close but it was hard to latch. Make sure the rubber bumper on both sides look the same. Hope that helps.
