Trailer Brake System Fault

I am getting a notification of Trailer Brake System Fault when turning on my 2023 Platinum Lighting. I’ve never towed anything. There is no Hitch or ball on the truck. I do have a dealership service appointment for this Friday but am wondering if anyone has had this and has recommendations?

Could be damage to wire harness or loose connector.

Water or junk inside the plug will cause a fault. Open the plug covers and have a look.

I got a fault after I washed the connector to get the gravel road dust and grit out of it before plugging in trailer. Dried it out and fault went away.

Mobile repair folks came by to do some sort of module update per some recall. I had to leave while they finished. When I got back I started the truck up and now have this same fault. As well my left front TPMS is “—-“ while all the other work. Maybe should have declined the service update. Because now I have this issue when before I had none. And of course it is a Friday at 5pm.

Drive it around the block, that should get all the TPMS sensors read in.

Hopefully the trailer error is also an artifact of the update, see what happens in a day.
