Dated 26 May 23 this TSB addresses an issue where a Platinum trim level Lightning may show a lower than expected vehicle range after charging with a Level 1 or 2 AC charger. This may be due to software in the SOBDMC.
The fix is to update the SOBDMC module. But wait, there's more......since the SOBDMC is a powertrain component, and powertrain module software updates are "coordinated" with all the other powertrain module updtes, this means that in addition to the SOBDMC you'll also be getting the PCM , SOBDM, SOBDMB, BECM, ABS updated as well in the bargain because they are all scripted to update in sequence once any one of them are selected by the tech to be updated.
So if you have a Platty that's experiencing a bit of range anxiety and wants to stick close to home after unplugging in the morning...see your local tech and reference this TSB.
