2023 Ford Lightning Lariat
I keep reading about this front sensor fix across multiple forums. What symptoms are people seeing that necessitate the fix? To my knowledge, I don’t seem to be having any issues, but I want to ensure I am not being denied updates as a result of not having outstanding issues fixed.

Are all MY Lightning’s included in this? I just put my VIN in Ford’s recall checker and it reports no Recalls or CSPs. I definitely have the CarPlay bug in my 2024 Flash.

Are all MY Lightning’s included in this? I just put my VIN in Ford’s recall checker and it reports no Recalls or CSPs. I definitely have the CarPlay bug in my 2024 Flash.
This is a TSB so it won’t show up. You have to have one of the covered symptoms to get the service so make sure you describe the problem as defined in the TSB.

From thee 5 conditions listed in the OP, I don't think I've experienced any of them. Could I assume that I don't need to pursue this TSB?

Mine is a 2024 Platinum.

I think a lot of people have the silent carplay issue. But I thought I was the only one on the speakers except mine is the rear will stop working. Bout as frequently as you say. Half the time though it happens I probably don't even know because I'm the only one in the vehicle.

Happened to me just the other day. Drivers side wasn’t playing music. Just the passenger side. I hit pause and play it fixed it for me.

I don’t know if I want to deal with ford on this. I can do a reboot time to time and fix it myself. They had my MME ‘21 for a whole week back in 22 trying to get the BC to work. They messed it all up.

Service scheduled for 3/4. Hope this solves my intermittent “no sound” issue with CarPlay. WAL would be a nice bonus. 🤞🏼

I also have the no audio issue part of the time. In the meantime, I’ve found the easiest thing is to quickly toggle airplane mode off and on, then connect from the infotainment screen, click my phone and hit the airplay icon. I save the reboots for when it doesn’t connect at all.

Ok so…will this be an OTA then? Has anyone gotten it OTA yet?
Probably not since it's a TSB that tells the tech to use FDRS to do the fix....and it involves multiple modules.

I probably wouldn’t bother if I were you. Eventually these updates should come OTA so you’ll get them anyway. The forum is full of posts about incompetent techs that brick modules and kill 12V batteries so there’s a risk your truck could be in the shop for more than a day. I have the CarPlay no audio problem so I’m probably going to get mine done along with my 20k service in a few weeks but my dealer has a good record on EVs.
