I wanted to use the pro power for the first time and have an air mattress and electric heat blanket in the bed. I don't know if I was doing anything wrong or if the truck couldn't power the blanket? It's a standard outlet plug, not even a 3 prong or anything. Maybe someone can shed some light on why it didn't work?

Did work initially and stop after 30 minutes? Shut off the automatic shutdown timer.

Which plug group (Frunk or Bed) ?

In the truck infotainment center, it said the power on and working. I tried every outlet in the bed of the truck and none of them worked for the electric heated blanket.

I had the truck turned on 100% since it said i couldn't use proposer on board with the vehicle off. (Maybe there is a way if you out in service mode or something but I didn't care, I just turned vehicle on and tried)

The first thing to do is go get a lamp or something and try to get it to work in the outlet. Did you push the green button to power on the circuit?

Did you turn on the outlets? You have to press the button next to them or turn them on from the pro power infotainment screen.

Was the air mattress inflator powered and working? And only the blanket didn't work?

I tried the electric heated blanket in an outlet at home to confirm the blanket was good but I didn't have anything else to test the truck outlet when I left the house unfortunately. I was bummed it didn't work.

I turned the outlets on for the frunk and the bed from the infotainment center. I also tested the ground fault and they seemed to operate as they should. When I plugged in the blanket, I tried al the outlets with the light on next to the green button, and without the light on. The air mattress was a battery power so I didn't get a chance to cross reference with any other electrical outlets at the time. Only tested the blanket at home to give that a try and it did work. I thought maybe the power for the blanket exceeded the power for the truck? Maybe? I'm not sure. I didn't know if I was doing anything wrong or not

No way the electric blanket works in the house and not the truck, it's a 20amp circuit. If it blew the circuit, it would have shown that. Try a lightbulb or other device and verify you are properly turning on the circuit.

I don't use a lot of power and use my Lightning
daily/nightly to power my house. One of the items
is a heated blanket. Never had an issue. The only
thing that had any issues was my factory EVSE
for my Bolt. GM EVSEs are temperamental and I
have always had issues with them. I run the Bolt
EVSE at 120 volt 8 amps to mostly keep cells
balanced. When I plug it in it is already at target
charge. I also power a set of 120 volt Mini Splits,
my TV and computer.
I can charge for free on a 48 amp Level II which
gives me about 6%~7% per hour after conversion
loss. In the summer I use about that per night.
Haven't experienced winter usage yet. I generally
drive the Bolt to work and back. If I am doing that,
I will DCFC the Lightning to around 90% once a
week. After a week of mostly just powering the
house, it is down to around 50%

After testing the ground fault, you must press the reset in the outlet panel in the bed.

Update: or press the on screen reset prompt for frunk/cabin or bed for which the GFI test was selected.

Okay, I'll give it a go with a phone charger, that's pretty simple to verify if it's working or not. It's gotta be something I did, it just seemed strange that it says there's power going there and nothing seemed to work.

So, do you keep your truck on/running when doing this? Do you use the infotainment center to turn the outlets on? I heard there was another way to turn power on to the outlets. Of course, the green button in the outlet cluster in the bed. I didn't verify any of the outlets in the frunk for this operation.

Does your truck have factory or aftermarket spray in liner?

On rare occasions folks have found the wiring harness disconnected during the coating operation

Since the " Black Platinum " and associated
updates have never materialized, the Lightning is
running when Pro Power is used. I am out of the
house most of the day so generally off then. I turn
it on when I get home. If I plan on using power
after I go to bed ( mini Split or fan ) I leave it on
throughout the night. Otherwise I turn it off at
bedtime.
I know that the bed liner question wasn't for me
but my Lariat came with spray in bed liner. I would
think that the interior outlets would continue to
work if bed was unplugged unless the entire
inverter was disconnected at that point.
