Just some random questions and thoughts....

The earliest Estimated Production Date announced to date is the Week of April 11th with a VIN # of about 002800. The lastest is May 30th (a total run of 8 Weeks) with a VIN # of about 005900.

I assume that all the Lightnings manufactured to date as Prototypes, EPA and Reviewer Submissions, and Mannikins would have to have a VIN #. Would they be in that missing 0001-2800 Series? Or might they have a somewhat different series of Letters and Numbers than that required for Retail Vehicles?

It has been estimated that the new Lightning Plant would ramp up from 500 Units per Week to 1,000 Units per Week through the MY2022. April 11th - May 30th is 8 Weeks. And 3,000/8 Weeks = Only 375 Units/Week. So either Production is very low or else some numbers have not been issued (such as the Platinums) for that 8 Week timespan.

My guess is that MY2022 Lightnings will be produced through September and that very little retooling would be required for MY2023 so that no interim shutdown would happen.

It would be useful to know what dealers and/or fleet operators are being told about when their Mannikins would be shipped.

I assume that this same process from Prototype to Retail Manufacture previously occurred with the MME. What was that history?

Mannequins are regular production vehicles and will all be sold to someone after the Ford FTCP holding time period and mileage requirements are satisfied. Having said that..if it helps...my dealership gave me their Mannequin's VIN: 01210. They basically copied my wave #1 order and sent that in as their Mannequin order. it's an Atlas Blue Lariat ER (511A) and is scheduled for production around 4/11. My own is VIN 02861 and is scheduled for production around 5/2. Given the batch and hold process it's possible both vehicles could arrive at the dealership on the same truck sometime in late May.

Looking at the decoder page above, looks like there's also a alphabetical component to the numerical sequence identifier - mine is G, then the 5 digit number on the VIN and I have a 5/23 build date. What's yours?

Every VIN shared on the tracker has a G in that position

Yeah noticed the same thing and those sequence numbers don’t get real high, might they only be making 5k trucks this year??
