I agree. I think the biggest unanswered question is what happens if a wave 7 order invitation is moved to a dealer with no open allocations? Will Ford find a way to fill it for the new dealer? Will it be rolled to MY2023 (then what happens to pricing)? Will it be rejected/cancelled by the new dealer and customer loses the reservation spot? Can you move it back to the ADM dealer like nothing ever happened? Major implications here for a customer, the biggest being you're cancelled and at the back of the line. Ford won't answer.
As you can tell, I don't put much faith in the mothership and definitely not the dealership.

Yep. Confirmed and accepted according to the online ordering page within a couple hours.
this is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much for sharing. Fingers crossed and I’ll share my experience as well on this thread for anyone else still thinking about transferring dealers for wave 7.

Ok, update -- I got a gem of a guy from Ford Corporate -- Gregory. He switched me over no problem and I could see the new dealer while I was still on the phone with him. Did a mock build and also saw no ADM from the new dealer. He did say, he would 100% recommend mocking up the build online but then actually going in and submitting with the dealer in person while obtaining a signed "Final Purchase Agreement." I've not submitted with the dealer yet, but I do indeed still have my "view and place order" option. So it does appear that wave 7 orders, like waves 1-6, are tied to individuals once the email has come out. I will update as things are able to get officially submitted/accepted -- likely tomorrow.

Went to the dealer today and submitted my order in person. They confirmed no ADM and signed the printout with the pricing detailed in addition the email explicitly stating no ADM. By the time I got home, the order status had updated to "order accepted by dealer." So I think this confirms everything worked and went through. Hopefully no wrinkles down the road 😜

@TaxmanHog So with ordering and deal accepting today, what's the typical time frame for the next thing to happen and what is that? Finding I'm entering into a new form of a waiting game.

Sit back and wait for build week scheduling that could occur in the next 30-60 days

Mind sharing the number for Gregory at corporate? I am having a heck of a time getting my issue resolved to be able to use my invite to order online. I wouldn't mind switching dealers as well.

1-800-334-4375, you get whichever rep answers the phone. The person I talked to said they had worked there for 6 months, so I presume Ford hired a bunch of customer service reps just for the Lightning order waves.

Congrats! It will be interesting to see how these wave 7 orders will be scheduled given all the unscheduled prior waves still out there. Also curious if you get a follow up from your original dealer - they would have to lose an allocation or just remain with an open allocation that cannot be filled until MY2023.

Congrats! I'm glad it worked out for you in a way that gets you the order and prevents the ADM dealer from getting the sale (at least for now). Win-Win!

Yeah, @4Reeley is right. It was just by chance. It’s been my experience that the three or four folks I talked to within the lightning team were all great. Maybe just luck, but I’d certainly make sure you’re talking to somebody within the lightning department.

My original dealer offered me a wave 7 invite and I took it. Got the email from Ford and it was all downhill from there. Long story short, I was getting jerked around by the dealership on price and they were not competent enough to complete the order online. So, thanks to this forum I found an MSRP dealership in my state and contacted the sales manager there who was very straight forward. He was pretty sure the allocation followed me not the dealer and he would be happy to have my business. Called Ford this morning and was told no by the first CS rep, the allocation stayed with the first dealer. I wasn't ready to give up so I called again and got a guy named Brett who walked me through the process, kept me online while I checked the link to order again and sure enough it worked with the new dealer's name attached! Got a confirmation an hour later from the dealer and here we are, SQM Lariat ER has been ordered. I can't wait to get a call from the original dealer when they realize what has happened....
