What determines dealer allocation??

Anyone know or have any insight into what determines dealer allocation or any way to tell in what wave I'll be in? I'm a 6/8/21 reservation date and recently changed my dealer to one in Oregon (I live in CA). The dealership where I currently have a reservation is saying orders don't count toward their allocation.

Your guess is as good as everyone elses. I reserved 10 hours in to the banks opening and I've seen people posting they were within minutes of it opening that haven't got an invite. Call your dealer to see what number you are on their list and ask how many they've received so far both in MY22 and MY23

Allocation is a secret sauce only Ford knows the recipe to, but previous year sales figure a lot into it. And orders do count towards allocation. If they don't have allocation, the orders wait to get built until they do.

Well said bro. Still waiting in line for my Nebraska Dealer to call. Small dealership, but we have a good relationship. I reserved evening of day 1. Just still waiting....meanwhile, price is going up up up.

Clearly. I ordered 11.5 hours in, and with a large dealership in a non-ZEV state. They got less than ten 2022s. I was #72 on the list. Ordering 10+ days in, from a ZEV state, gets priority over within 11 hours. Clearly a consumer-focused business model.
