What is the purpose of 'profiles' if they dont associate with the keys?

I have a profile set up with an associated key for my wife and I. However, starting the truck with a key leaves the profile as the one it was with 'last' time, not the one associated with the key!

It won't matter to me all that much, since my wife wont drive my truck once her car gets back from the dealer, but annoying all the same.

I've done that, and it still seems to only give you the last profile, instead of hte one with the key in the truck.

I would do a Sync reset, and if it still won’t work, take in to the dealer.

Are both keys in range by any chance? Our Mach-e usually works (profile via key), but the few times it has messed up it was because both fobs were within range.

I had a similar issue (it kept defaulting to guest). I de-linked my key from the profile, shut the car off, and then re-synced it. Whether it was that or a recent update, mine seems to be doing better. But, I don’t switch between keys all that often. Sometimes I think remote starting from the app confuses the truck.

My wife's new Kia Sorento PHEV with all the 'profiles' and bells-n-whistles annoys me, too... I can get in to drive, change the profile to '2' for mine, and suddenly the seat moves into a very awkward position - even though I already hit the door button for '2', which is my saved seating position. And, no matter WHERE I look thru the 'profile' settings, it does NOT provide a way to set the seating position for each profile - so 'WHERE' does this seat movement come from? Crazy. Annoying. No car is perfect, that's for sure. I sometimes wonder what engineers are thinking.

The Mach-E has an update to the Driver's Seat module (DSM) to specifically address this issue (seat and mirror settings not adjusting to the fob/profile in use).
