Great thread. Was paying $9.17 for two vehicles. I goofed and didn't notice the end of the promotion and for two months got charged $18.77 Am chatting with an agent now to renegotiate, but it's ridiculous that I have to do this every year. I asked for the $.4.99 rate and am she just typed the best they can do is $6.99/vehicle and I replied to cancel both of my subscriptions. So I'm out but won't miss it. with all the streaming services from my phone satellite radio just makes very little sense any more.

It's ironic that this thread just came back to life this week... I just received a letter from them offering me the "All Access Plan that includes everything we've got", for $4 per month for 1 year. I want that deal for several years. Is this a decent deal for 1 year?

I only listen to satellite radio when breaking news is happening or maybe some other programming. I overhauled the audio system to a really high-end quality and listening to music from Sirius is like listening to a really low quality mp3, like 64 or 128 kbps, so listening to music with them is definitely a no-go. I will call them and see if I can pay 2 or 3 years in advance, at this rate.

Try to strong arm them. If you see your not getting lucky. Just use that as a back up

Take the deal for a year - it's about the best you'll get. Then it is a game, remove the credit card or cancel and they'll be offering you the same deal again. If they don't offer the same deal then it isn't worth it and you've got 1000 other ways to hear news.

Yep. I tried to get them to let me pay that rate for a few years but they said no. She tried looking for any better deals and there weren't any, so I went with the 1 year for 3.99 plus tax for 1 year. I will call them next november and see if I can do the same deal again, and if they don't, I'll just cancel, I won't be mad because again, I rarely listen to it anyway but I like to have access, just incase I need it on the road.
