Most of what we see posted is people having problems. How many people have no problems with their vehicle, charger, on any given day?

I had my truck fully charged when I left home this morning. Drove the six miles to work and still had same percentage on arrival. What an awesome vehicle!

I did drive from 300 feet elevation, to sea level, and then back up to 100 feet elevation. So that might have something to do with the SOC.

My truck is awesome. This is the best truck I have ever owned. The cool thing for me is that i have only owned it in cold weather and am excited to see the miles/kwh hour go up and the DTE get longer.

Your battery would be much happier if you kept it in the 80ish percent range, unless you had a long trip to take right after that short commute.

Just sayin'.

Threads about people having problems seems...fine?

I mean, I come to the internet to find ways to fix my truck or otherwise improve my ownership experience. I don't need help driving uneventfully to work.

Our truck is working great today powering our house. It gets driven very little since we bought a Rivian for our road trips. Ford tells me I shouldn't charge it above 80% or it might burn our house down. Waiting on Ford to release the fix which I'm hoping will be an entire new battery pack. If not, I'll be expecting some substantial compensation if not a buyback. Already had the pack dropped once for a module replacement.

Most days I charge to 90%, based on Ford recommendation and the comments on this forum. We keep our Bolt limited to 80%. But I will charge occasionally to 100%, especially when I am planning a long trip.

Minus the Shifter issue that needed it replaced last year no problems in 20 months. Still deciding i i keep that shifter or transition to the rotary one that i have the parts ready for when I feel like it

I am totally digging the rotary shifter mod.

I was going to look at a Rivian because the Ford is just about a foot too long for my 120 year old Portland garage. However I do really like the drive and comfort of the Lightning.
Does the Riv have power outlets? Specifically a 240 V that I can use to provide backup power to my home?

I have been thinking about the Riv. I love the Lightning but it is a foot too long to fit in my 120 year old garage. Apparently the horse and buggy was shorter than my truck.
How do you like the Riv? Does it drive as well? Space? Does it have external outliers, specifically a 240V that I could use for backup power on my home?

I don't get it. People have been bitching about rotary shifters neutering their cars/trucks for years. Now people are retrofitting them. To each their own.

Everything different is bad, until you get used to it. I have not had the retractable shifter get stuck, yet. But I see the possibility.

I would have been happy with a column shifter as well. But perhaps a three on the tree is just too old fashioned.

Having the drop down shifter is an overly engineered solution to the fold-flat workspace. Even something a simple as a notch in the armrest would have been a good and reliable alternative solution. Although anyone with an iPhone will know the uproar that their notch brought on.

We have the '25 R1S which is about 6" shorter than the truck. No 240v outlet and the 120v is really no different than what is in premium ICE vehicles (other than being able to leave it on even when the truck is off). The R1S rides very nice and has tons of room.

All Rivians Gen 1 and Gen 2 have the hardware to do V2H but Rivian has not yet released the charger/inverter to do it. I'm guessing they are waiting until they are profitable.
