Pretty good local deal, want to confirm if they will fit. I’ve seen a few threads about raptor wheels and the fitment may require some work (or not) but want to confirm before I buy. Thanks!

From my limited research, 17" will require spacers. As a result, the smallest size you can fit onto a Lightning is 18".

I've tried 17" and 18". 17's do not clear the front brake caliper on my lightning, the 18's are so close to the caliper that wheel weight placement on inside of the rim can interfere with the caliper. I advise skipping 17's

funny I have 17s on my truck

Here’s a pic for all those that say 17s don’t fit 🤣

Which wheels are they? Did you have to use spacers?

I can't find good LT tires with a 245 cross section that will fit an 18" wheel. There are some great ones for 17" wheels. But I haven't been willing to put up the cash to experiment with various 17s. And I don't want spacers.

So they don't fit.

You had to add a modifier (spacer)

Ford does not want you to use 17 inch wheels because they have a high likelihood of rubbing and damaging the brakes and suspension components.

I can modify anything to fit anything, but your original statement is misleading.

17 inch wheels do not fit for lightnings without modifications, and you should amend your post to say that to prevent confusion in others.

Clearly they do. Do you not see them on my truck. It’s like saying 35inch tires don’t fit because you need a lift kit well duh. Anything you change on your vehicle will need modifications.

My question would be were the spacers necessary to clear the brakes or did you add them because of the tire size?
