5/19 order date. My confirmation email came back time stamped 9:04 PM (CST) same day. I am reservation holder 10815840 (for what it's worth, since I'm now part of the MY 2023 or '24 party).

My reservation still shows active status on my Ford.com account, and I got the credit pre-approval notice last month when logging in each Thursday/Friday to Ford's website in the hopes of finding a Willy Wonka golden ticket. My dealer has continued to reach out and provide monthly "just touching base" calls since June 2021. At this point, I feel like I'm getting to know Jerry better than certain family members.... Nice guy, but he has had less topical information than me since our first conversation.

But other than the initial reservation confirmation email I haven't heard Jack shit from Ford Motor Co. Has anyone else received no email communications or updates from Ford beyond the congratulatory reservation confirmation email? All of my Ford.com account settings are verified to accept email updates. I get emails for the Bronco from time to time but have not received a single correspondence about the Lightning since my reservation confirmation. It's not a spam folder issue, I've checked that religiously since Jan 4. Instead of learning that '22 MY orders had been closed from Ford, I found that out on this forum while trying to get the latest status update on where we stood for wave 5.

Has anyone else experienced the same? Without getting into the temptation of Ford bashing or grousing about how poorly the reservation system has been honored, it seems like there's a glitch in the matrix. It makes no sense to read posts others have received from FMC and taken screen shots of to share on these forums to keep the rest of us plebeians up-to-date. It's not like they are using hourly temps for manual data entry to key in reservations. This whole process has been less than opaque, but seeing how some reservation holders have been getting updates makes me feel left out in the cold.

Did you confirm your email address a week or so after making your reservation? I got an email from Ford to do that on 5/29. I was also on the 5/19 reservation boat.

I received an email about the tour last fall and a notice about the ordering opening soon right before Christmas. You should have at least had those since they weren't tied to what wave you might have been in.

Check that your email address is still correct on your Ford account.

I felt like I got plenty of communication and good communication from both Ford directly and my dealer. Here's all the emails I received.

5/19- Please verify your email
5/19 - Welcome to you new account email
5/19 - Congratulations on your reservation
5/20 - Dealer reached out to introduce themselves
5/21 - Dealer reached out to say it'll be a wait, they'll be in touch
5/28 - Dealer reached out for a touch point and inquired on my desire for touch points (I said not until I can order)
8/5 - You're one step closer (marketing update)
8/19 - Fordpass rewards
9/23 - Event invitation to see/drive the lightning
9/30 - 2nd opportunity to see/drive the lightning
12/9 - Tech that works for you email
12/20 - Dealer reach out to let me know orders were coming 1st week of new year
12/21 - Email from Ford saying orders are coming soon
1/6 - Time to order email
1/6 - Dealer reached out to see if I needed any assistance.

I felt like all of that was appropriate, but in fairness I had my eye on my Rivian reservation more than my Ford reservation. I didn't start paying attention to my Ford reservation until 1/6.

The post above summarizes the emails that I have received, except the Wave 1 'Time To Order' email. I was in Wave 4 on 2/17, with a reservation number about 1300 lower than yours and time-stamped about 1'15" earlier. My large dealer ended up with a total of four Lightnings and I got the last allocation to order. I was not prioritized in any way, not in a ZEV state.

Have you reached out to Ford with a phone call? ‭(800) 334-4375‬

Did you check your spam folder? I think the fact that the dealer is reaching out to you is a pretty good sign. There are a lot of TX orders, so I would think it's just that a lot of people got in ahead of you. Have you asked the dealer how many allocations they have?

Thanks for taking the time to list out all of the FMC communications. This was quite helpful. I've been monitoring my spam folder religiously since 5/19, and have confirmed multiple times that my account correctly lists my email on Ford.com. With your list serving as a contrast point to see what communication was sent to other reservation holders, well... I guess I have received more emails than I realized.

The lack of the "2022 MY Orders for the F150 Lightning Are Now Closed" email that other forum members posted as having received on 3/4 from FMC is what prompted me to ask, especially given that the order banks were closed in wave 5 (vs. wave 6 closing on 3/31 as we were lead to believe would be the case). Perhaps those are also going out in waves.

P.S. I waffled on hedging my bets with the R1T, as I was almost fully committed to the Lightning from day one. I only gave it serious thought after missing the wave 4 cut, shortly before Rivian announced their poorly received and immediately retracted price hike. Couldn't ever get on board with the CyberTruck, had a suspicion it was a little too much vaporware that wouldn't make it to market on time.

5/19- Please verify your email - never received, but I am an existing Ford owner and already registered, so...
5/19 - Welcome to you new account email - based on Ford.com account already in existence, assume this is N/A
5/19 - Congratulations on your reservation - received
5/20 - Dealer reached out to introduce themselves - got the introductory dealer email, have received monthly touch point phone calls from local assigned dealer Product Specialist starting June '21 - present
5/21 - Dealer reached out to say it'll be a wait, they'll be in touch
5/28 - Dealer reached out for a touch point and inquired on my desire for touch points (I said not until I can order)
8/5 - You're one step closer (marketing update) - after going back to check, received 8/5
8/19 - Fordpass rewards - got a corrected Ford Pass Rewards email 8/6, then another 8/26
9/23 - Event invitation to see/drive the lightning - received on 10/7 (date variation attributable to regional dates of the see/drive tour, Dallas booked out within 8 hours, lots of public interest)
9/30 - 2nd opportunity to see/drive the lightning - did not receive this (event was booked)
12/9 - Tech that works for you email - did not receive
12/20 - Dealer reach out to let me know orders were coming 1st week of new year
12/21 - Email from Ford saying orders are coming soon - did not receive, but didn't make it to this point based on dealer allocations
1/6 - Time to order email - you got a golden ticket!
1/6 - Dealer reached out to see if I needed any assistance.

Congrats on your order!

And Ryan091 - why... so... serious?

Yes, spam folder checked. I asked what my position in the queue was relative to total dealer allocations back in December and they wouldn't tell me. I sent a separate email to the GM and Sales Manager this morning to get a sense of how many others are still in front of me. Like you said, there are a LOT of TX orders, and plenty of people with super deep pockets buy multiple vehicles annually from my chosen dealer, so the reality of being line cut by dealer prioritizations sunk in pretty quickly last December. Just hoping to ascertain from dealer if 2023 MY is a possibility or if it's 2024. Losing out on the $7500 tax credit will be a bitter pill to swallow if I get pushed out a full two years based on demand, despite reserving 20 minutes into the reveal. Them's the breaks!

Being an optimist, it's possible you didn't receieve a close out email because you're in that fringe position. There's supposed to be a clean up wave in April I believe. If you're an optimist, you can choose to think you were excluded on purpose as you're possibly in the clean up and only those that received the email are definitely closed.

Maybe...possibly...hopefully?

I'm in TX and have maintained the 'cup half full' mentality. But I just got a response from my local dealer to verify my current queue position:

#24.

I'm a first night reservation placed 30 minutes into the presentation. Dallas is a big city and quite a few others may well have beaten me to the punch on 5/19, so I'm rationalizing my position by assuming about 12 priority line cutters and 12 quicker-on-the-draw reservations. The dealer prioritization process is painful to confront when the band aid gets ripped off.

I also tried calling Ford this morning to inquire if the lack of the order close-out email indicated that I might be swept up in wave 5 clean up, but they directed me to Marketing on Monday.

Magic 8 Ball says Outlook Not so Good, but I could still be waiting on a Bronco.

My emails directly related to the reservation/ordering of the MY22 Lightning.

I deleted/moved out most of the fluff Ford Marketing emails, except the pre-approved loan email.

I also moved 3 emails from my Ford Dealership to another folder, received several calls and texts from them also.

I feel the communications from FoMoCo has been what I would expect.

Wave 2 online configuration - 5/30/2022 Build week

FYI. I manually added my Lightning VIN# to my FordPass acount.
