Hi guys. Just moved to a new house and my 2021 Lariat won't fit in the garage like it did at my old place. First off, the facia board in lower than the garage opening. So, I will trim that in a few weeks. But still need to lose 1 or 2" preferably. My truck stands at 6'11" and barley made it in my 7' last garage opening. The new Garage opening is 6'11". My tires are 35's and 20" wheels. Does anyone think I can gain 1-2" airing down? Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!!!

I don't know if you're really gonna get that much lower (1-2") by airing down. And it sounds like an absolute pain in the ass to do every time you need to park in the garage. Time for airbags

Ya I know it will be a pain. Usually, It will be parked in the garage From Sun-Fri. I have some tire deflators and a 21 Gallon compressor so will take less then 10 min to do if I can make it in. Bought a nice cover works good but since it's lifted it barley reaches the tires.

Ouch, that bites. I had a 4.5" lifted Ram on 35's, wife and I bought a new house 1.5 years ago...when we looked at the house, I told the realtor I had to fit in the garage or we wouldn't buy it...it just barely fit. Now have the F150. But yea, that bites to have to do that. But you sound like me, it has to fit in the garage...

Yes your story sounds very similar. It was a huge thing for me also when we moved. My last truck was 9 years in the garage, its why it looked so good at trade in. It has to fit...lol

Amen! Amazes me to see garages full of junk and they park a $50-$60k car outside.

Mine didn't fit in the garage in stock form. Took care of that.

you're not going to gain that much airing down. I'd have the garage modified or deal with parking outside.

I don’t think it would be worth it for daily operations; between the extra time to leave and extra stress to the sidewalls. But with that, knowing if it would work would be good for putting it in for any storms.

Follow up on Truck not fitting in Garage. Shes now in where she belongs. Removed the top weather stripping, notched out 5" on the facia board and trimmed 8 rafters about 3" by 6" at an angle. Then noticed out 8" wide by 2" on the main beam for the 2 roof antennas. Came out better than expected. If I laid a dollar bill on top of the roof antennas it would not make it. I either have my wife step on the tailgate step or drop my curl bar in back 80 pounds to clear a little bit easier...lol

Don’t shoot me, but maybe drop the lift by 0.5-1.0”. That way you’ll still have the lift but it would eliminate the PIA of getting it in.
