Having only 14 reservations makes me guess they aren't a volume dealer
Or that the dealer is HUGE and the local market isn't interested in the EV. ???? dunno.

i think your missing a zero
The reservation numbers include ALL Ford reservations for Broncos, Mach-E's, Transits, and Lightnings, etc. So its not a direct mapping to your place in the Lightning line. But for worst case planning you can use that to set your expectations.

‘The only numbers that count are time and date of reservation. The 4th digit of the 108xxxxx designates the server that processed your order. Therefore one who ordered 1 minute after another might by 1082xxxx because of server center volume. Even Amazon order numbers are not always consecutive.

Most of the Bronco, Mach-E, etc. orders are 107xxxxxx or earlier.

My dealer got back to me and says they won't know where I am in line until Ford lets them know. With this I am assuming they won't be using the priority privilege and will just go off whatever Reservations are on the list Ford sends them every two weeks. Better than nothing.

My dealer gave me unexpected good news today, but I'm not 100% sure what it means - ha!

He texted to say ordering would open soon and asked if I was ready. So of course I said yes, and then asked "Where are we on your priority list?"

His answer: "All ours would be 19. So with what is available to us. Very high."

Now how to interpret this? He previously told me I was 9th on their list of orders. So 9th out 19 is high priority? Does this mean he already knows how many trucks they've been allocated for MY22 and we made the cut? We have never bought a Ford before, so he'd have zero reason to bump us up on the list.

For the curious: My # is 10855522, and I reserved at 10:54am on the 20th. My dealer is big, with multiple locations. But I don't think EV's have really caught on here yet.

With the WBDO ordering system, retail orders default to priority code “19”
Are you sure you both were talking about the same thing?

I would tend to believe the 9th in line which would mean, according to Ford dealer memo (+/- 5 priority) the worst you could end up would be 14th; best 4th if they really liked the Christmas card you sent them.

Also, since your reservation was +14 hrs. You would be somewhat higher than the 20,000 at 12 hrs. Quoted by Ford (22,000?). If conversions were 80% you would be 17,000 in line; if 50% then 11,000.

Duckwrangler, I tend to agree with Silenze that your lines of communication got crossed. Being an early reservation holder though, there is a good chance that the large volume dealer will have a decent number of allocations. So stay optimistic.

It’s a leak. When a Ford representative makes a public statement it will be official. Doesn’t matter if it’s the exact same information. Has nothing to do with what I believe.
Wrong
By your logic any internal Documents, policies, procedures etc are not official until a Ford Representative makes them public knowledge.

The leak debate is funny.

I personally think it is an OFFICIAL document LEAKED to the public forum.

I'm such a fencesitter ?
Well I’m done with the debate so we can move on.

I’ve spent too many years in the corporate world working with the media I guess.

It’s a fine point and it doesn’t really matter.

Reservation number 10819030 (ten minutes into the event) and was just told by my dealership that I am #1 on their list, and more importantly, will remain #1 on their list.

I’m a day three reservation. Just talked to my dealer and told them maybe they prioritize me and they can keep some state tax rebates…. ?

Talked to my sales guy in person today and he claimed his sales manager has not received this memo yet and they are not aware of any prioritization process. Said he'd let me know as soon as he saw or heard something.

Being truthful or not, who knows but I am not sure why they would lie. So either they didn't get it or they don't know how to work the portal/site this notification comes in on.

I guess if they don't prioritize anyone then it defaults to Ford sending invites out in order of timestamps.. which is fine with me as I put in a few minutes before the presentation started that night... assuming that was when the reservation banks opened. I should be ok I hope.
