It's annoying how vague Ford's being with this feature so far. What worries me is I think they know it'll be very expensive ($10k+) to get it all going. A feature like this may only be useful to those who're off-grid or have very unreliable power.

I think whenever the power does go out, I'll simply run some power extension cables from my truck instead. It's not a deal breaker for my Lightning purchase but it would have been pretty neat to take advantage of powering my home almost completely with off-peak power.

The link worked for me an hour ago, now it doesn't. Weird.

You mean kW (unit of power), not kWh (unit of energy). No mention of specs on the site from what I recall.

Just to be clear, the page while active said BOTH the Ford Connected Charge Station (48A) AND the Ford Charge Station Pro (80A home-back-up capable) use a SAE J1772 connector:

The newly published packaging guide also describes the Ford Charge Station Pro having a industry standard plug:

This does not compute with using a CCS connector to access vehicle DC pack voltage.

Thanks everyone for all the info and links. The important thing is pricing for the charge station pro, home integration system, and activation for the SR battery. These are things to know before placing an order and could swing SR to LR. Also great to know would be if the inverter is included with the HIS which I assume it will be. Heck, we don't even know where to buy the charge station pro from since it looks like it could be Ford, Sunrun, or a 3rd party.

I'm actually hoping I won't be asked to convert to order until June or later after I see pricing and perhaps hear from others who are getting all this installed.
