They pre-determined the allocation for all trim level/battery combos long before orders started. That info got posted here many weeks ago.

Those were Ford's projections, not pre-determined manufacturing quantities. XLT ER was projected to be 1/3rd of XLT orders but at least based on what happened here it wasn't even close. There's not much reason to keep XLT ERs open when almost no one is opting for an XLT ER. We have 109 Lariat ER orders here vs only 3 XLT ERs. Virtually everyone is coughing up extra for the Lariat.

What "bronco and chapman emails"? I have a first night reservation for a bronco and am still waiting for delivery. I watched every step of the way of the bronco reservation debacle unfold. Once again they promised at the start to deliver in approx order of time stamp and then they constantly moved the goal posts along the way. What's the point of this pretend reservation system if it doesn't mean anything? But clearly you sound like god of the Ford allocation system

A minor quibble with your characterization of Ford's "projections". I interpreted Ford's bar chart as projecting what % of each trim would be produced i.e., avaliable to order aka production quotas. IMHO, Ford is throttling the trims based on profit margin, not on consumer demand, which is why one sees Pro unavailable to order, once Ford's predetermined 5% quota was reached. Nothing wrong with putting profit first

So you are aware they changed the Bronco allocations to larger dealerships.

Chapman sent out a widely shared email regarding them having 200+ orders and only receiving 5 lightnings. Stating ZEV states would be receiving the allocations.

The formula was pretty obvious.

Hey everyone! I’m also a Wave 4 order, Lariat ER in Atlas Blue with spray in bed liner. We are also expecting a Star White Mach E GTPE in the next few months so pulling the trigger for this order was a bit of a hard sell for the Mrs. Either we figure out a way to swing both payments or we eventually sell the Mach E. This is my dream truck and while I really want both vehicles, if something has to give, it’s going to be the car. Doing Ford Options on both. Cheers!

Jedi - not sure when or where I came upon the information; however, spray in bed liner was adding quite a bit of time to delivery? A great deal of the individuals were going with an aftermarket vendor. Just a heads up. I will try and find the thread and let you know. Congratulations she sounds like a beauty. My girl is rolling in her new Space White Mach E X. Really nice ride your gonna love it.

Update! Just got back from my dealer Veterans Ford in Tampa FL to check on my order. I spoke to the new car manager and he told me my order has now been accepted by them. He said I didn’t need to sign anything and will keep me posted and let me know when the demo unit arrives he thinks in June so we can see it. Also confirmed I will pay only msrp. I did ask him how many reservations they have and it’s over 300. He said I got the lucky lottery ticket as they only have 3 allocations total for this year and I got number 2 so there’s just 1 left. It was also interesting that 2 people backed out who were ahead of me so I guess I did get lucky too.

That's what I was trying to say...I assume the Lariat ER has more profit so they just cut off the XLT ER since no one was buying it.

Maybe it would be better to do Max Tow instead of the spray in bed liner. I just figured the spray in bed liner would be better from the factory and I don’t know if I will ever do any towing. I didn’t add it because I was trying to stay under 80k for MSRP just in case BBB ever gets revived.

I decided to not get the factory spray in. Going to go with a line-x from the local shop. From the factory it doesn't cover the whole tailgate and I saw that it might impact wait times.

Also opted for the max towing package as it was reported to increase cooling capacity and figure for 800 it couldn't hurt as I'll be towing a couple of times a year.

Exact same order specs for me except I added the Max Tow on the outside chance that it actually helps in some way. Probably just $865 down the drain but you never know.

Glad you got the ER, it's the ticket to your truck qualifying for the Mass MOR-EV-Trucks rebate!!!!

SR trucks are under the weight threshold to qualify

I got this during Wave 1. Ended up ordering at the dealership. They had to work with their zone rep to get the order in since I could not get access to on line to order or move the reservation to the dealer. By chance, has your dealer changed owners in The last 60 - 90 days?
