I received my VIN for Wave 1 Lightning!

Yes, it still looks like that on the standard reservation page. But if you use the link https://www.ford.com/buy/reserve/details.html?reservationId=XXXXXXXX where the "x"'s are replaced with your reservation #, you will get a different tracking page. that looks like this

With the Mach-E there used to be a way to manipulate the web portal to find our VIN on the site. Not sure if that is the case with this landing page. Scrolling through the page source I didn't immediately find an obvious VIN.

After you get your VIN,
To track your vehicle order online*:

1. Get your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and Order Number from your selling Ford Dealer (my # was 4 digits). They will be available after your vehicle is scheduled for production.
2. Visit the Ford Vehicle Order Tracking page.
3. Enter your Order Number and VIN. Note: The letters I, O, and Q are not included in a VIN to avoid confusion with the numbers 1 (One) and 0 (Zero).
4. Click Accept & Track.

I'm not trying to dampen any happy feelings. I'm jealous, myself. I'm thinking I'm not going to be called in the last 2 waves so I went and placed an order today for a Mach-E.

Yes. Absolutely. Depending on how long a distance it has to be shipped, but I would hope initial builds would be shipped by beginning or middle of May.

@Pioneer74, As between like vehicles (i.e., Lariat ER and no options) how is Ford prioritizing orders for production? Is it based on the order that orders were received or whether or not you live in a ZEV state? Also, is Ford going in time stamp order so that if someone was prioritized into Wave 1 but has a late reservation time stamp they would be at the back of the build line? Finally, if the order has a 01 priority code, how does that impact the scheduling for production?

I'm sorry I'm new to this website And I forgot all the important information.
The color is iconic silver. I went with the extended battery To get all the other goodies associated with that upgrade. I did add max tow
to package but held off on other things that might create a delay.

I was absolutely shocked to see that I had a build date.

I was able to find my VIN by:

• Navigate to order\reservation page
• Open the browser console (CTRL + Shift + I)
• Select "Network"
• Refresh the order page
  • Either from your account or the details direct link
• Look for a response that looks like this (I saw 2 responses, 1 was empty the other is a JSON doc):
  • "<reservationID>?lang=en_us&includeBSLData=false"
• You should find an element with "vin":"XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"

I honestly don't know. I only have a small window of knowledge and access to the process. I don't know how the sausage is made.

The 01 priority code is the system setting your order up to be scheduled. As soon as the system knows it has the commodities on order to fulfill your unit, it will be assigned a VIN and build week in the upcoming scheduling cycles.
