So, A note about the IPC update. I have done it now and I have seen the OTA for thee IPC files.

Step one of the update is to install

Target IdentifierCurrent Software #Previous Software #File Size
Module: IPC INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER
F120ML3T-14C026-CRCML3T-14C026-CDL186.03 MB
F188ML3T-14C026-CPCML3T-14C026-CCM1.84 MB

These were installed then there is a second part of the update.

Target IdentifierCurrent Software #Previous Software #File Size
Module: IPC INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER
F120MU5T-10F906-FDAML3T-14C026-CRC186.03 MB
F188MU5T-10F906-FCAML3T-14C026-CPC1.84 MB

Notice the previous files and the new files.

It went from the updated files to the newer files with the new middle part number

I believe everyone should be at the MU5T-10F906-FDA and MU5T-10F906-FCA

There are two steps to the update so PLEASE pay close attention while doing it.

I believe it is safe now. I did mine this morning and it went well. I have a V8. The first step was a USB update. AFTER the selecting the USB was successful it proceeded to the next part and it was CANBUS only it did not give an option. This is where the 10F906 files will be loaded

IF you get a error where is will not configure do NOT Panic. Just let it roll .. you can retry if you want but if you dont it is OK> Just follow it out

You will get a possibly DTC u2100 for initial config not done. This is OK it comes from the config not completing . Do a PMI. Select the original module is NOT installed and follow prompts.

Make sure to pay CLOSE attention to the whole process. Again it is TWO STEPS. The initial step gets you to the CRC and CPC the final is FDA and FCA.

I was able to recover the cluster that was blown and I am side loading the FCA and FDA level now. So if anyone had a issue dont panic it is savable. I had one completely blank! Its back to being fine now
I accidentally selected the original module IS installed when I ran the PMI. Stupid in hindsight, but the DTC cleared nonetheless and the config completed.

It’s not stupid. It worked. And if it did then that’s all we want.

I was in FDRS today and did not see any updates for IPC, currently ML3T-14C026-BAK (8" Cluster with 5.0 xlt), my Sync software only shows ML3T- , nothing else.

Hi Ebrou-
I think Jesse's quote is more specified to the 12" clusters. I have the 8" as well in a 5.0L XLT and our versions are the same. ML3T-14C026-BAK

Quick question, I have access to a VCM 3 now and I am wondering if I hook it up and run a network scan will it fix any corruption that may be loaded in the cloud?

I purchased a YEAR of the license instead of reading this thread and being convinced every couple of weeks to do some more "work" on my truck.

First thing I did was NOT run a scan and download my truck records from the sky.
Sure enough, the IPC had a space in the software part number. When I clicked SW Updates, there was only the GSM and ABS, but when I clicked on the IPC module specifically the right hand side of the screen automatically chooses "All"

In the list for All is an IPC Update!

It is not listed under the updates tab.

I chose download and run, just as you normally would. Sure enough there was a USB portion (but only 2 files for the Powerboost VS the 5.0)
Applied them the traditional USB method. Did not get into a restart loop! Said Yes in FDRS and sure enough a canbus second routine ran for a while.

All without ever doing a network scan.
As soon as it updated the database, I shut down FDRS, again no scan, downloaded the truck records and the IPC was uncorrupted and new values.

And get this....... After the IPC update and the fresh session with the sky, I got a new GWM and APIM update in SWupdates. Again, without a Network scan.

Saweeeet!

I realize there's some hesitancy with the Nano, but I am now about 18 updates into my Job1 Platinum Powerboost and its a little bumpy at times, but you just keep plowing.

Ford OTA and the dealership would be maddeningly far behind with my truck.

Oh, and there was a TRM trailer module update too. I finally had no DTC when I scanned before I quit for the night. :)

Does anyone know what the 'DATA LABEL="706-29-### covers? It's the only area that some data seems to change daily. Runs from -01 to 201...
Ex:
<DATA LABEL="706-29-01">

0A2B

08E6

A600

@BHunted1
That data is sensor config DPAC Homography. I would assume it changes based on a setting or configuration.

Thanks for the encouragement. Got my Nano today with laptop coming. Will get started on my Job 1 Platinum next week!

OK guys, please keep us posted when this update is good to roll with.
I see the TRM update is out to correct the DTC and seems like I have a few other updates to do.

Since I only get the 2-day license want to get the best bang for my buck.
I'm in the same boat, just got my nano earlier this week and was going to play around with it this weekend and try my hand at getting everything updated. Was going to hold off but looks like tides are starting to turn again in everyone's favor so may give it a go if I feel like rolling some dice.
