Canceled my reservation today.

My dealer had a list of 115 reservations holders and I was #3. I figured I probably wouldn't get the first wave but surely the 2nd or 3rd. Now I get notice that ordering is closed for MY22.

It's very disappointing but at the same time I wasn't thrilled with how Ford was allowing us to configure the truck. I would love to order a Lariat but I really, really, REALLY hate that ugly 15 inch tablet in the center console. (Buttons aren't bad people! We have relied on touch as one of our senses throughout evolution.) Then to find out the XLT with the extended battery ($10K) also tacked on another 9K in equipment and still NO moonroof as standard or even optional on the XLT!?!?!

I hope everyone who was able to order is very happy with their purchases and get a great product but I just can't get with what Ford is doing these days. They can't seem to learn from past mistakes and launch a product smoothly.
The screen was a total dealbreaker for me too. Looks like an afterthought to my eyes.

Yup, gone, still no build week....

Maybe someone FINALLY realized that all our pre approvals expired on 12/31/21 and removed them. Unreal.

i THINK I saw something on Long McArthur that no F150s of any type were being scheduled this week, but I might be mistaken. But would explain why none of us have seen any updates this week.

I reject your reality and will substitute it with mine.

The folks at Ford got into work late due to inclement weather. The scheduling is merely delayed and we will all see something soon.....

Yes mid way through the program when he spoke about all routine production, that F150 resources were limited, apparently 26~36 suppliers said they could not keep pace with just in time commodities. Further into the program a listener point blank asked if that opinion extended to Lightning, Tim admitted the FoMoCo has been tight lipped about scheduling build weeks, so he was not certain if it extended to our truck as well. Given the number of common elements, that could be why there is no activity on our orders today, keep hope alive!!!!

I'd like to think that getting the lightnings delivered on time is very high priority. If they usually deliver 700,000 f150s per year and they are supply constrained so that they can produce less than half that number, they should still be able to make sure that 10k to 15k specific trucks get out the door.

He’s a wealth of information. I love watching/listening to him. And it’s good for business to boot!

It was surprising how many things simply aren’t being scheduled at all due to those 26 suppliers being unable to get them parts.

Longer it takes , the more I enjoy my ICE 2021 5.0 even if the cost to operate is increasing.
