ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I got the BC FP notification, I see it in the Sync settings, but have yet to try it. Not sure which step I am at in the updates but hopefully the newer updates show up in FDRS soon for me!

Everybody keeps saying we see it in Sync settings. What exactly and where in the menu? Before the date showed up today in FP and the web, there was nothing extra in settings. I see bc roads but dont get anything special saying you are on a bc road. I see hands free settings in about screen with wrong date. That was there since last week when i ran a bunch of updates. No big fancy screen with the blue wheel and stuff. So not seeing any difference.
Please explain.

Stupid question from the cheap ass who does not want to buy a Mongoose, FDRS license, etc....

If another forum member created a thumb drive using their Mongoose/FDRS, and mailed it to a cheap ass member without all of that, would it still update their truck?

No, the updates are tied to the VIN of the vehicle and the VIN is included in the update information on the drive. So your car will examine the data on your USB drive and not update anything because the data does not include your car's VIN.

I also was able to clear my IPC DTC.

I had the U2100 incomplete configuration where I could not PMI it as I kept getting an unsuccessful GetFilesForPMI due to an exception getting flash files.

After several days, I redid the IPC configuration and that went through successfully when before I received errors. A self-test went successfully green, and the DTC was cleared!

Now just waiting for further APIM updates to move closer to BC!

Well you got me excited, I had not tried a PMI in over 24 hours. However my 16th PMI ended exactly like the first 15, exception getting flash files. And I've now tried with three different computers (but only one mongoose)

I just reconfigured the IPC (I think the option below PMI) and that went successfully when before it would not. Once I successfully "configured" the IPC, I ran the self-test to confirm everything was good and got green.

Just to be clear, the configuration in FDRS, below -- IPC - Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Configuration. I ran that successfully and that cleared the DTC. The self-test confirmed everything was good.

I did not use Forscan to clear the DTC in my IPC.

On your sync screen, after the updates, there is now new options under driver assistance/ cruise control. I think these new settings are blue cruise related.

They’ve been there as long as I had the truck last March. I thought you were saying it said -BC settings or something similar. I think they are the same settings under features—-> driver assistance I believe its called.
(I hate trying to type on an iphone, lol)

I just got these settings so they are new to me haha. I guess some have already had them! My bad!

No prob. This has been a fiasco to say the least.
I got the 1 year free bc, but no date update in truck. Get back to my desk under fp connected services online, it says it avail but wants $600 plus tax to activate it. Argh.

I think maybe we have some more updates coming down the pipeline? One can hope.

My BC updated yesterday and the Sync About Menu is showing hands free valid until 10-09-2022. FP shows my subscription as accurate and shows 3-21-2023. Hopefully the expiration in Sync updates accordingly.

I believe the date on the sync screen is the date the maps expire and we should get a map update prior to that. The last date was a march date I think and a map update went out starting in February.

Man, after all that time and money spent getting current, I feel pretty let down. No BC and I dont seem to have the camera views/screen cards while driving. Is there a setting or something to enable that?
