All,
A quick sob story for you. This is a HUGE day for Ford with the launch event happening here shortly. Like many I am eager for my chance to get my hand on an f150 Lightning.
This morning I checked I checked my Ford.com account like I do every morning and--BAM!!-- "It's time to order your 2022 F150 Lightning!". I was so thrilled, elated, shocked. A bit dumbstruck if I'm being honest. I actually logged out, logged back in to make sure it was not a fluke. Still there. Took a screenshot. I did not see a way to order, no order button. (I did switch dealers recently, so I've heard that can happen). Sent a quick note to my dealer telling them I wanted to stop by ASAP so they could help me order.
Not a second thought.
Lunchtime.. went back to ford.com to see if the order button was there. NOPE. Worse-----
My reservation is still there, but the invite to order is GONE. Back to the generic wait screen.
I'm on a rollar coaster of emotions now. Totally spoiled my launch event enthisiasm.
Dealer says they can't do anything.. they say I should have gotten an email.
I called the general Ford number..agent there was less than helpful..couldn't tell me anything other than wait for an email.
I have heard sometimes the email is delayed from after the ford.com acct is updated. Not quite panicky yet..but getting there.
I have screenshots saved..I'm not making this up...
I may try to call the LIghtning reservations line(the one to change dealers, etc)-- when I called before they seemed very knowledgable.
I hope this wasn't a glitch. If so..not cool Ford..not cool. Pretty big screwup on launch day!
