844‑948‑5405 is the number from the email. I got one yesterday as well even though my build week isn't until 6/6.
They called me today. Person didnt know about shipping charger, only selling something and setting up appointment. Well I only need charger shipped, so no help for me.

Called me today as well, but didn't answer. I already have a chargepoint flex installed and hardwired. Going to sell the pro charger on ebay whenever I get it.

The market price for used EVSE's is still pretty high. I'd think the first batches of that charger might bring close to msrp.

I received email from Ford telling me to contact Sunrun. Sunrun told me to contact Ford advisor since 1. I am out of their service region and 2. I want the 80 amp charger to be installed by my own electrician. Indefinite hold when calling Ford advisor.
Worthless exercise with both companies.

I already have solar on my house and a backup generator so I just need to install the charger. Can I call them and just have them ship it to me or do I have to wait till my truck gets here?

They also quoted me $1600 to do the install. I already have an electrician and a 200 amp panel so I dont need them at all.

Per My dealer and a bulletin from ford, sun run is supposed to ship pro charger 5 days after sale and confirmation of shipping address. Haven’t seen anything more specific than that.

That’s true…complicated, but true. 😀 I think having the AC & DC use separate conductors all the was back to the HIS would result in a simpler, less expensive arrangement.
My point was that there has to be separate AC & DC conductors between the EVSE and the truck. I think that was the post I quoted was implying.
I’d also like to see a proper schematic drawing.
I too have been in the hunt for a more detailed schematic of the connection between the Charge Pro and the SunRun/Delta HIS, but no joy to date. I saw a Video blog posted somewhere on this forum that included ‘State of Charge’ & Ford Reps that alluded to the need for a separate conductor pair for the DC return to the HIS, but no specifics.

I‘m in a non-SunRun serviced State, so I called SunRun today and asked them the question: “To future-proof the installation of my Charger Pro for a future installation of a SunRun HIS, how many and what size conductors do I need in my conduit run between the Charger Pro and the HIS?” The call taker said they would check with their technical staff and call me back :)

BTW: My electrician bid me $1,675 for running a dedicated 100A copper in conduit circuit and breaker for just the Charger Pro.

The last question to be answered is are separate conductors required for the (future should I choose to purchase/install the HIS) DC return????

I spoke with all the people at SunRun today and got many different answers but came to a basic conclusion that SunRun just is not fulfilling orders to non-SunRun customers. I asked about the HIS and the pro charger and got the same answer. I wasn't getting called it seems because they were not going to do anything anyways. They send me the shop.sunrun.com/ford link and say that you can order the HIS through there... I did that in March. Now shows its estimated fullfillment date of 11.1.2022. I tweeted at Farley and Ford letting them know that basically you won't be able to get a HIS for your truck until probably next year. Doubt anything will come of that. The ONLY positive is that my order with AEE Express shows the original order price of $3700 instead of the going price on the site now of $3850. So I saved myself $150, I guess. I am sure Ford doesn't know how SunRun is prioritizing non-SunRun states at this point.

One other aspect though on this... While we have seen videos of how the HIS will work with the Ford Pro Charger, we have not actually seen it in real life or a demonstration of it. This tells me that they don't have it ready for primetime yet and as a result, there is probably no one getting an install date. Anyone have a HIS install date?

How far is your run? Just got my quote for $2500 for the same, about 75 ft

From the bits & pieces I’ve gathered so far, I’m pretty sure that DC conductors will be required between the EVSE and the HIS.

My total linear run is 32 ft (1” external mounted conduit). His company’s Labor Rate is $750/day (~$100/hr)….I expect the rest is an OTC Electrical Permit and materials…the estimator told me their copper is skyrocketing, changing sometimes daily.

The question now is to confirm whether I need a separate pair (and, what size) for the DC return???? As a matter of good practice, he prefers not to run DC and AC conductors in the same conduit, though he acknowledges the E-Code would allow it. I can opt to upsize the 1” conduit or run another parallel. Again, it comes back to the question of the number of conductors required…….

The DC return conductors connect to the HIS, not your panel, so it might not make sense to combine in one pipe.

I talked to a Ford rep at the San Antonio event last week. They had a video showing conduit connecting to the CSP. It looked like 3/4” and with two conduits (one for A/C “in” and the other for DC “our” for the HIS) connected via knock-outs on either lower side of CSP.

Thanks! That confirms my thoughts, and my contractors advice, to have a separate conduit for the DC return. Do you have any sources that could advise the required conductor size for the DC?

I agree it initially will, but upon future upgrade to the HIS, I do believe the AC conductors would be relocated from the House Panel to the HIS since the HIS contains the Automatic Transfer Switch.
