Just got a production date on a wave 6 order.
Dealer gave me the VIN # and order code.
Entered VIN into Ford Pass app to add a vehicle and refuses to connect.

Double checking VIN integrity, I went online to the Ford tracking site which shows the truck so I know the VIN# is correct.

Can anyone tell me why I can't see my vehicle on the Ford Pass app using iOS device ?

I have a build date of 6/20 and I can’t add mine either. Maybe it’s too soon?

Many of us have had to add the vehicle on our Ford website first - then wait a few minutes and go to the App.

That’s what I did. Added on website, logged out and back in on phone and all is good.

That worked!

Added vehicle on Ford.com account - now I can also see it on my mobile app.
Strange that you have to enter the VIN on a computer first in order to view from the mobile app.
Thanks @Sdctcher

If you have a Mustang Mach E don't go in and clear the cache to get the picture to show up. I did that and then had to reset all the PAAK stuff for my wife and I. My truck picture did show up though.

I have an MME on order. Still no movement on the MME.

Lightning ordered AFTER MME has a production build date - guess they are prioritizing the trucks...

MME deliveries are running very slow and have been for quite awhile. I was going to order my wife a GT, but she said no, she loves her premium first edition MME too much. She said she can't get another first edition, and I'm like the GT interior is better. She didn't care.

When you add it to the website I bet it adds your VIN to a Database, or links your VIN in a database to your Ford account. Once that link is made the client on the phone can connect.

Yes, as soon as I added the VIN to the Ford website, the phone app all of a sudden started working.

Thanks everyone!

What is the benefit of adding the truck to the app before we own it/take delivery?

It's just one more thing to compulsively check every day to see when our trucks modules come alive.

Absolutely nothing except for the personal satisfaction of knowing you’re closer! Until you can be inside the truck and actually activate it we see absolutely zero - zilch - nada as far as information goes. Just can see the button that says “activate” and can access an online owners manual. 🤩

I'd just like to track the progress and know that my Lightning won't get hijacked on the way into the dealership or worse yet, joyrided...

The benefit is hitting the Activate Button and hoping someone hits the Activate Button on the truck, then you can track the movement of the truck. You have to wait until it’s actually shipped to hit activate though or else Ford employees will deny you.
