Part of the longer status these trucks faced was just Ford's standard quality control process (batch and hold), which just does more quality checks when they do their initial run of a new build. Sprinkle in some PR timing as well.Do we expect that the in production to built times will go down or will it remain 1 to 1.5 months?
The fact that this one and the others you posted before it were in production weeks a part but identified as built on the same day tells me that they were either waiting for something or there was indeed some quality check or some sort of certification sign off prior to calling them built. This one was only produced 2 weeks before mine. I can only hope that we will see some non-demo models getting "built" with a estimated delivery date soon.

Why the not so accurate. Tracker Mike? Trying to think of a reason? And I firmly believe based on my previous five F-150 orders and experience with Ford's customer order progress tracker over the years that this behavior is intentional.
They know exactly what they're doing.
So don't expect them to fix something that's working just the way they want it to. If they wanted to 'fix' this they would have done that years ago.

TBH I think it's a calculated 'underpromise and overdeliver' thing. Why the not so accurate. Tracker Mike? Trying to think of a reason?
Let me get this straight. . . . So checking my email every 30 seconds to check for “built” email from ford and checking the tracker once an hour isn’t going to make it change it’s statusa little like pressing the elevator button a few more times doesn‘t make it come quicker.TBH I think it's a calculated 'underpromise and overdeliver' thing.
Can't be helped really. Just frustrating.

wow, that’ll free up a lot of my time.
now just back to waiting. . . . .
