What Florida dealership was your order with? ThanksLame. Anyone know a dealership in FL that isn't going to charge $5k markup?
Try, months after the order was placed. So the whole list of dealers not charging ADM might not be true after all... I suggest people check their orders and create a copy if it shows $0 ADM, just in case. I thought we had some sort of consumer protection for this kind of stuff in CA...Ford is so committed at stopping this dealer activity yet they let them update it in Fords ordering system weeks after they put the order in???
Yeah, it just bothers me that the overview they gave me with the order acceptance was when I paid my deposit. If I knew they were going to have ADM, I would have changed it to another dealer. This is pretty much them adding it when you don't really have the option to change. When I messaged the salesman he thought it was an increased in Ford that Ford added, and I knew that wasn't anywhere near right. I told him that no one on this forum has had it changes and that's hundreds of reservations.Good advise to print to PDF each step of the order/build process to document it. I have a feeling if you have that, you can work with the dealer (over email, don't go in) and negotiate it out. A few mentions that you don't know how this happens, that perhaps consumer bob on channel 10 can explain it better to you and it would be removed.
I don't think being in CA helps much, you don't have a sales contract. I'd push the issue with Ford, why did Ford allow that sales agreement or quote be changed after the fact if the dealer becomes an issue.
The day I got my production date email back in March my "Difference in MSRP" went to -$1000. Yes I said minus. I have been afraid to approach the dealer and ask if this is correct. I have the PDF of the change and hope it holds up at delivery. My dealer just changed the Difference from Total MSRP to $2500 today. Today is also when I got a production date. Not that it will help, but I have a PDF of the original order acceptance at $0 in that area. Hopefully this is an error on their part but I'm not getting my hopes up...
Maybe you can give the $1000 to @Tonys_F150 if it turns out to be true? The day I got my production date email back in March my "Difference in MSRP" went to -$1000. Yes I said minus.
