Maybe I'm just not understanding the process correctly. When you say they are not being produced by wave, are you saying that the April produced dates are a mixture of all waves? It was my understanding that those April dates were predominantly Wave 1, but maybe this is where some of my confusion comes from.

Guaranteed, not built by Wave. I was a Wave 1 order build date 5/24 - 6 weeks into the building customer orders.

I was Wave 3 order, then 4/29 blend. But now in limbo since then with no “built” or “shipped” date

Yes, April production includes ORDERS from all over....
To better illustrate, I am showing you all ORDERS placed and accepted by the factory 1/6 to 1/19 which would be wave-1 candidates, here you will see a variety of build weeks, as well as orders not yet complete.

Shipping might seem random, but I expect they are not loading a west bound truck on a east bound train car, this is not FEDEX or UPS, they have a system and it's working.

I recognize the shipping strategy, but I haven't encountered a benign explanation for why most of the trucks built in March and April have tear tags but not "built" status. I suspect there is something that's holding them up, hopefully a software issue and not a mechanical problem.

I'm 99% sure it's along this line of process, they have to be plucking them from holding just in time as the departure scheduler says train cars are ready for loading, the revision work is completed, maybe forgetting to update the tracker or updating it out of sequence and shipping them with fresh production not requiring any tweaking. Not FIFO, Nor LIFO, just what is in common on the next out bound train, that's how I would work this catchup strategy.

Just bad process. If they updated to Built we'd ask why they aren't shipped. They just do a horrible job of getting them in and out is my guess. I'm hoping that backlog is cleared and they are all soon shipped.

We really need better boots on the ground going by with a camera ! LOL

@TaxmanHog - I don’t follow your every post across all topics, i take it, it is very rare to have a truck arrive at dealer without any built/ship emails - as it pertains to all our lightning orders.

I agree, aside from maybe an email getting trapped in spam folder, it's possible they have not been consistent with emails at each production stage, certainly does not help with the anticipation anxiety for many of our members, it is what it is, maybe the catch-up process to push out the back log is part of the problem

Tried talking to Ford today. Just got the line "it's in production, talk to your dealer for more info". Even asked specially for a vvr or secondary status beyond in-production.. just got the same line repeated again. /shrug sorry no new info to share on our builds.

1 Truck show delivered this morning on the tracker from our spreadsheet for the 4/11 group. No forum members, it was an Autotrader VIN. This truck never had any Shipping information attached to it in the tracker. If you already have a build date and no ship status, there is a chance that yours is already out there somewhere. We had a total of 9 trucks delivered today from our spreadsheet and only 1 of them had an actual ship status.

I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada.
I work at a Ford dealership, and most other dealers in town got their Lightnings yesterday June 2nd.
For me the shipping "strategy" is out the window. If they got theirs, how come I don't have mine. Their blend dates are 4/15, and 4/20 respectively.
And there were a "few more" at the local train yard.
