For your sake I’m hoping the metal rail car is blocking the gps signal and really your truck is approaching CA 😀
If the tracker is still active, it will not update until the rail yard attendant rolls the truck off the train car.

That is true, when there is no reception it will default to the last location

I posted on the ca delivery thread as well,

apparently its on rail right now but my window sticker says convoy.

just chatted with ford and got this:

It was Received at Junction Point (Indiana Harbor Belt Rr Co ) and is in Riverdale, IL.

The last railcar number I see Railcar # TTGX695659 (Canadian National Railways
lol i checked the train car and its now in oakville ontario in canada headed east, so hopefully its still not on that railcar. maybe the convoy picks up in riverdale IL?

Regarding the conversations about Sunrun. I don't know for sure that any of this is actually representative of what's going on in general, but I thought I'd share my Sunrun experience.

I've spent a fair amount of time chasing Sunrun around the last few weeks trying to get an install date for my charger. I was "successful" at getting the process started back in early April with my order number and VIN. It was pretty clear to me from the general radio silence for the 4 weeks following my initial conversation that Sunrun didn't know any more about how this was all going to work than most of us.

In early May when we really started seeing status movement on some of the trucks, I followed back up with Sunrun. It took until just last week to get the process moving again, but I finally had a good conversation with my Sunrun advisor late last week. In short what I was told is that:
  • I should be hearing this week about scheduling an installation for the charger (I'm just having the charger installed).
  • Installing with Sunrun is the only way to get the charger installed before your truck arrives (basically they can trigger Ford to ship the charger to me after I sign the Sunrun install agreement -otherwise I don't get it until the dealer confirms sale/delivery).
  • Sunrun's install fee isn't cheap even just for the charger. I don't actually know what the final estimate will be, but my initial conversation with the advisor was that the installs are around $1500. That feels 2x what it would be if I could get my hands on an electrician and on the charger, but electricians are crazy hard to get booked in my area these days and I don't really want to wait for truck delivery + X days to receive it + time to find an electrician to install it.
So anyway - if you are in a state that they serve, you might want to reach out and try to get the process going... or you can just wait for truck delivery and see what happens. I'm trying to be proactive because most public charger spots in my area are just not super convenient for me and so I want to be able to do more than a trickle charge at home.

Thanks for the information. That install is pretty pricey. How far are you running the line? I had an electrician run my line about 20 feet and he only charged my $600.

I reached out to Sunrun, filled out the documentation, sent pictureres as requested and paid the design fee on 5/13. Hadn't heard anything for a couple of weeks. I called my rep on 6/1 and she said it was waiting for the design completion and that should take a day or two. Still haven't heard anything.

I hit @Sunrun on Twitter yesterday about my negative experience and had an immediate response. They said they had opened an excalation case and someone should be contacting me in 1-2 business days.

We'll see.

I've probably got closer to 60 -70 feet to run with the line and it's going to be installed on the exterior of my garage so will be punching through the wall. Nothing really complicated, so yes, feels pricey, but I also don't have the final quote. I may be pleasantly surprised, though I'm not holding my breath.

I learned that part of the delay on mine was that the person working on the design needed more photos from me, however the note they put in the system asking for more pictures didn't actually notify anyone to take any action, so it just sat in this state for weeks. My advisor was very apologetic and helped expedite things once he figured out what the problem was, but it certainly showed there are some gaps in their process.

That's crazy that I never received a built or shipped email. I only knew from checking my account. I don't even have a projected delivery date, it just show TBD, but it definitely shows in transit on the tracker.
