I was considering 285’s. I also tow a boat through the mountains and want to make sure that load won’t cause any rubbing either.
Good point, I am sure whatever you decided it will look great!

Here are 295/70R18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on the stock 18" sport wheels. Fit perfect, no rubbing!

Did you do any lift/level? How is the ride compare to the stock? Is the mpg affected?
I have the same wheels and thinking of doing the same. But, don't want to do any suspension changes.

Ok so I’m going to ask something that I suspect is blasphemous based on some comments I’ve read...

My Limited is getting delivered in a few weeks and it comes with 22 inch wheels. I’d like to keep those wheels and put one some beefier looking tires and achieve a bit more aggressive look. So...could I just get 1.5 inch wheel spacers and then put on a 285 or 295 tire with stock wheels? How big of a deal is this? I know there’s different levels of freak-out over wheel spacers.

My use cases are boulevard cruiser, mall crawler, daily driver, etc. 1% of use will ever be with any substantial cargo, towing, etc. I accept that at the extremes of use, this is not a good idea. But for my 99% of use-cases I’m interested in how stupid this would be based on the expertise of the folks on this forum.

(Not looking for cheap vs. quality spacer debate here. Just assume I’m talking about the best (eg. BORA or whatever) hub-centric options available)

Wheel spacers are bad. It's a cheap half-@ss way to get that look. If you're buying a $70k truck, don't cheap out on the wheels. Small spacers are a little easier to swallow, but 1 - 1.5" spacers shouldn't even be sold in my opinion.

Thanks rathbunr5! Do you think we still need the level if I put 285/70R18 on it?
No, I believe you will be okay. You need the level with the 295/70 because of the added width. But 285/70 is really only one tire size up which will fit stock suspension on a 2021 F150

Great. I am narrowing it down to 285/70R18 (33.7" diameter) or 295/65R18 (33.1" diameter). Which one you will pick and why? Both with stock suspension and no offset.

Id go with the 285/70...the reason being is because you will have a little more side wall which will give you better ride comfort and with the extra sidewall you will fill in the wheel gap a little more.

My local Rim/ Tire shop thinks the chances of a 295 70/18 not rubbing are slim. He hasn't seen a new body style ford in the shop yet, but offered to bring a set of tires in and try one on my rim for me. If they fit I'll take them. also mentioned there might be a bit of bulge on the side wall with the factory rims i want to use. looks like there a 18 x 8.5 and +44 mm offset ..The truck gets a 2" lift next week then off to the tire shop. .. Any insight would be Appreciated!
