It looks like your vehicle is currently on hold at the moment, waiting for a microchip
Oh crap. This is the first time I've seen chip mentioned in an official capacity. Hope it's not long or widespread.

Really ticks me off - not a word from Ford about this until I proactively reached out to them. Farley said these trucks would not be impacted like this as he wanted the roll-out to be successful. Told Ford people need to plan for these things and their comms need significant improvement. So now I wait and wait until someday in the future (2022?) my dealer says hey, guess what, it's here!

Honestly I don't know what to believe with these guys.

One tracker says in production the other says shipped, but no built date. Ford chat gave me a build date of 5/21 last week. They gave me a railcar number on Friday.

Today Ford chat says the truck is in Illinois in transit (the last place they told me it was) and as we were ending the chat, BTW the Lightning is on a chip hold. The rail car tracking shows the rail car in New Mexico.

Meanwhile my dealer won't give me the vehicle visibility.

@bosox8 when you contacted Ford chat did they say if your truck was in transit or not? I'm curious if they are shipping trucks incomplete or holding them in Dearborn for completion in the case of a chip hold.

No, my truck has not moved from the lot they are parking it in since it came off the line 5/20. I know Ford is getting closer by the day to hitting their 200,000 EVs sold - I can unequivocally say if this delay impacts my ability to use the full $7,500 tax credit I will not be purchasing this vehicle.

That's really weird, and frustrating I'm sure- why the inconsistencies? And your dealer not giving you a copy of the visibility report on top of that is just bad CS. Will they even tell you what they understand the status to be? Shipped vs chip hold are just too dramatically different statuses for everyone to be right

I understand the sentiment completely. My truck was behind yours in line by 85. You were 85/301 and I was 190/301.

Yeah, I completely agree. Last my dealer told me it was built on 5/21 consistent with what Ford chat said and then it was shipped offsite. I think the problem is he's too lazy to actually take a look and is talking out of his ass, based on what he's seen on his mannequin. Last Wednesday he told me the OKTB hadn't occurred yet, when we all know that clearly isn't true.

Again, I don't know what to think anymore.

I have to vent. This is so frustrating. Patiently waiting for over a year since reservations opened. Excited as hell to get a Wave 2 invitation and ordered that very day. Happy when I got a production date which didn't slide back. Seen several of my Build-Week buddies take possession - it's so random and @FordMotorCompany has not been honest or transparent. Farley claimed these trucks would not be held...they are. Trucks built after mine have been delivered. Happy for all who have them but this really sucks and based on the lacks of communications from Ford I really shouldn't expect it to get any better. Thanks for letting me vent, we now return to your regularly scheduled programming...

It's got four wheels - Waiting on my '22 Lightning
This one is the https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking page

This one is from the reservation/order page of my Ford account.

Mine shows the same thing, except on the Ford account page the "Shipped" is blue.

Also, It says:

"NEXT ACTION
Get Ready for Delivery
Set up your Mustang Mach-E today with Remote Vehicle Setup and explore your features through New Vehicle Orientation."

Dude. It's not a Mach-E. You'd think the rectal-cranial inversion would not exist on something like this.
