Tear tag, but still “in production”

Hi all.

As I understand it, the “tear tag” for the car Is issued when production is complete. Is this correct?

I’ve had a tear tag for my Lightning for a week now, but Ford.com still states that it’s “in production”.

What’s up with that?

I would believe the motorcraft module site more.
The Ford tracker online is way delayed.

Sometimes, when the Ford tracker says built - they show up at the dealer way ahead of time.

Seems to be the norm.

Took over 10 months for my 2022 F450 so I’m sure it will be worth the wait.
Mr.Farley was correct at the time he made the statement but the supply network constantly changes.

I Agree to disagree with your statement

The industry is time based as always and what is true one day/week/month may or may not be true the next day/week/month. Any CEO (MR.Farley included) will constantly be subject to back seat and rear view drivers. Unless you have been in their shoes you will never understand it.

I know there have been less than honest CEO's in some businesses but Mr. Farley is not one of those. He deserves more credit than most for trying to be in the publics eyes.

We're reading this to indicate production of the vehicle is nearing completion, with exception to spray in liners, etc. the truck has made it's way through main assembly.

Man that is brutal, and to think I was anxious in the summer of 2012 while waiting on my custom built F250 PSD to be built!!

I traded my 2008 F150 (Harley Edition) as a down payment in June 2012, the new truck took what seemed like a LONG time, of only 3 and half months, nothing compared to what a bunch of you folks have been going through, the state of our economy the past 2+ years due to c19 and other BS.

It is a 2022 F450 Limited so it has been worth it! Lucky to get it fully loaded with all the shortages in the last couple years. Dealer sold it to me at the original price (under MSRP) !
