Those dates are out there, but I strong suspect they are going to move. Based on this forum about half of the 2022 orders are still waiting to be scheduled and that early October cutoff only gives them 6 weeks to schedule into since they already scheduled August.This may prove useful:
I am in the same situation. Spent some time talking with Ford regarding this scenario. They said I could definitely change dealers before submitting the order. HOWEVER - they could not guarantee my order would be built due to the receiving dealers likely having no remaining allocation. Unfortunately, I believe there are very few dealers with allocation left as this is the final wave and all remaining allocations were targeted to specific reservation holders. I talked to two MSRP dealers in hopes of switching, but they said they had zero allocation left and were not sure what would happen if I switched from my ADM dealer. I still have not submitted - I'm waiting for someone else to switch and report back on the results!
That looks like a contract to sell for MSRP to me. Good job. Now make sure they have remaining allocation.So update on my experience, dealer may be willing to lower ADM, but not remove. In the meantime I have another dealer that’s confirmed no ADM and will honor MSRP. Here’s image of their email. Anything else I should do before calling corporate and switching dealers?

yeah the dealer allocation is an interesting discussion. I know the wave7 invites were through dealers, but I now have the order, so I’m not sure if changing dealers (even if dealer is out of allocations) will jeopardize my order or not. I can see the argument either way. Also hoping for someone who has indeed switched to chime in. I’ve started a new thread for that specifically so we shall see.
I was able to do this. And for context maybe allocation is also per specific local region. The dealership I transferred to is within 10 miles so maybe that helps too.
My order was from a ZEV state. He stated they got 8 allocations. They had 11 converted orders before that and 12 reservations cancelled.
I contacted Upland Ford in May 2021 and they said they will charge ADM.

When my wave 6 order deposit was paid, my dealer contacted me to sign their form either in person or by email.
This was what was agreed upon:
You need a signature from the dealership on some document - even an e-mail may not be helpful to you as they can claim the person exceeded their authority. If that e-mail is from the sales manager, you'll have some legs to stand on.
I have a printout of that, but they didn't ask me to sign it and I didn't ask them to.
