Have you been happy with Folsom Lake?
It says convoy. I have heard from others that it may still go by rail but I won't know until it is shipped. I really hope we get them trucked. Seems like they would be delivered faster. Especially with BNSF slowing their shipments through the end of July.
I have been waiting since May 19 of '21. Guess another 30 days of anxiety won't kill me. Nothing a little Cap-City IPA won't cure! All CA trucks would be rail, it'll just be convoy after they get to a drop off point. For us, it's Richmond.
Hopefully since our builds are technically in the front and not parked in some parking lot, we can get right on the first train. Ford uses more than bnsf , so it's not going to be a complete standstill for the next month.
In before times, it could take 10 to 15 days on rail to make it to CA.
My production date was 6/21 and I think by 6/23 or 24 I was able to activate. First the button comes up then few days later it will work.Has anyone from the later build weeks tried to activate their truck? I have an Activate Vehicle button now on the Ford Pass app. When I click it though it tells me I can't activate it yet and should try again when I take delivery. I wonder if Ford has wised up and taken steps to clamp down or if my truck is still in a 'dream state' and hasn't fully awakened yet.
CA84 also man ~ So it looks like we have 4 of the 6 trucks that can fit!Im about 1-2 hours from you two. Best of luck to us, mines also convoy ramp CA84. If memory serves they carry about 6-7 full sized trucks per load. We might already have taken up 3 of those.
This depends on how long you want to keep the Lightning. If long term, it is a better choice as it has a much better TCO than the Powerboost. Also factor in the federal and state tax credits if you qualify for them. Inflation is going to make the Rivian and CT much more expensive in future. The plot thickens. Talk about things going from famine to feast. I've ripped the earth off its axis trying to find a well-optioned F150 these past months, and now it appears I soon have this decision to make:
Blend Truck Status Cost Notes 6/17 Lariat 511a Lightning ER
w/ Max Tow1147 modules and a tear tag (beeyotch!) MSRP + Left Testicle in ADM Want it so damn bad, but am somewhat fond of lefty 3/17 Lariat 502a Powerboost
(loaded, no known deletions)"Built" 6/20; now "In Transit" MSRP Would save ~ $42K. Approx. 700mi range on a tank. Not my preference in color/sport package but would be fine for a couple years until the clock strikes Rivian or Cybertruck o' clock.
Worried that it just spent 3 months having its wiring harnesses gnawed on by rodents on a lot in Michigan. Also concerned about reliability issues with the powerboosts / ICE trucks being reported on the ICE forum.
You boys are my de facto support group and understand the Lightning fever. But the right move here is to flip the bird to the dealer ADM, take the ICE Lariat, and save the money, right?
Right?
CA84 also. Maybe my XLT SR can hitch a ride?Im about 1-2 hours from you two. Best of luck to us, mines also convoy ramp CA84. If memory serves they carry about 6-7 full sized trucks per load. We might already have taken up 3 of those.
That makes 5 people on here with CA84, 6/13 week group with XLT SR all close to shipping!CA84 also. Maybe my XLT SR can hitch a ride?

That's a bit optimistic man LOL But I love itGonna be delusional and say ford planned this knowing they'd be able to get our trucks out fast and together
Our UP train pulls up next Tuesday. Our trucks will jump on and be on their way... And we'll hit the new dimensional portal in Nebraska and pop out in Richmond and arrive at our dealers on July 4th.
