Just published another video walking through some of my biggest disappointments on the Pro Trim. Overall it's an incredible value I think, but a few things do irk me day to day...like the vinyl seats, and lack of easy access doors...and then the sort of silly stuff like the lack of an interior work surface on a pro truck! makes no sense. Did I miss anything?

The only thing missing for me with the pro is heated seats. Even if it was a payed option.

I guess all of those "disappointments" can be cured with a higher trim or after market parts.

I do agree that running boards of some sort will be necessary, and they are cheap enough to buy after delivery.
Agreed for sure. It’s more disappointing in the sense that we didn’t get them in that trim (although not surprising. It’s still a screaming good deal)

I’m looking for the running board item number.. with the extension and light. Not the ICE version

I’m putting katzkin on in 2 weeks with heated and cooled, and they’re inserting a lumbar bladder which should make a huge difference

The lack of seat adjustment was the big miss for me on the pro. I didn't mind in my younger days but now I want the seat where I want it!

@Mcalc55 was the lumbar item something Katzkin could quote & have an installer do? or was it something custom you had to work out separately. I want to do the same thing when my pro comes.

How much are you paying?

I'm debating this myself (for XLT). I only want the cooling aspect of heated/cooled, when you get them can you follow up with thoughts on how well the cooling works. I cannot really find peoples thoughts on how well that works.

The shop who was going to be “assigned” the work from katzkin is going to install this as well:

Rostra 250-1453 Universal Automotive Lumbar Support - Rear Mount https://a.co/d/fHHO4M1

I would HIGHLY recommend just going directly to the shop that they recommend to you and dealing directly. Otherwise you’re getting a very marked up price from K

If you got a Pro, I dont think you could claim anything's disappointing, you won the lottery in just being able to order it :)

Despite ford being coy on whether or not it's losing money, it's 100% losing money selling to retail customers which is why they were extremely limited. They make money on other services for fleets.

Thank you. How did you approach that tactfully? Did you get the price quote and installer name and then just call that installer directly?

They told me where it was installing to. I wasn’t being too coy. I ended up looking them up online cause the prior specialty shop I have gone to for years closed up. This place does all sorts of modifications so I was pretty interested. The lumbar support really sold me though cause K doesn’t offer that.

In my discussions I confirmed that more padding behind the lumbar won’t do anything on the pro. It’s likely just open air back there with nothing for the padding to push up against. You need to go with a bladder

I agree, I’m excited about your channel because there isn’t a lot of Pro content. But this was a bit..forced and didn’t really give us anything new.

The most interesting parts of the video were the Katskinz and the Raptor wheel. Please do more videos of that.

For something like the running boards, that could’ve been a whole video by itself. It’s missing, here’s the aftermarket options, heres the factory, pros and cons, what you went with, before and after.

Just my 2c on what would get me to subscribe.

Btw, are there plugs for seat retrofits?

I hope you do video on the install of the running boards if you can find them, particularly the wiring for the lights. I really would like to do this too vs just a bolt on aftermarket pair ... price dependent of course.
