In Alabama we have no discount for EV except for the 1 cent discount per KW overnight. They actually charge us a $200 fee per year for registration which I kind of understand. 50% of the fees are supposed to go to grants for EV infrastructure which is slowly getting better. It's too bad that the cost of installing dcfc increases exponentially when grants are involved. That is why we just installed 80 amp L2 for the time being. It's crazy how much state discounts matter. Some folks complain that NJ isn't all that EV friendly but I'm getting almost another 20% off when you factor in OTD pricing.
If you're good with wax, you should give ceramic coatings a try. I've use acrylic as well, but it's a bit tougher to fully get off. Process and time isn't all that a much different but the protection lasts longer.
We had the dealership GT wrapped for the looks of the flat finish but have used the high end ceramics on several of our TC Custom Broncos. Either way it gets expensive for a 37k truck that will be subjected to truck stuff.
