I too read that….depending on what the offer entails, what a way to build customer good will…….
I was pleased to read this as my father extended his wave 3 order because of no Pros. The picture in his extended reservation has a Pro listed. Also pleased there will be a special price, since he is retired and on a fixed income. Really hope he gets a crack at one in a couple of days.

Ford announced those offers will be presented to the customers at the point of sale (dealerships) so while I can't imagine all of the shenanigans that will ensue I'm certain we'll be reading about this yet another unforced error from corporate.

It doesn't help that Congress wasn't allowed to index the rebate to inflation, because indexing something to inflation is one of the factors that can drive the bill away from the majority-vote reconciliation process to the 60-vote process in the Senate. As a result, in the future they'll either have to create an index to inflation and attach it as part of a must-pass bill, or they'll be patching it every few years by upping the amounts to correspond to the inflation.

I think 'presented at time of sale' means that the Private Offer cannot be redeemed or used for anything except as a manufacturer discount applied (presented) when the dealer sells the vehicle. In the past, the customer has the Private Offer directly from Ford in advance of the sale. It won't stop the shenanigans, but it is a bit more transparent to the customer than the usual 3-card sales Monty.

Where did they officially announce this? I must have missed it. (This isn't sarcasm, it's a real question. I know it's hard to tell on the internet haha)

And to be clear, I'm asking about the claim that customers won't be presented the offer until the dealership.

Is 9.6 kW Pro Power Onbaord worth the upgrade on the SR Pro? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

If you plan on using power off the truck, yes.
If you plan on powering your home thru a bi-directional charger/inverter, yes.
If not, then save your money.

I think 2.4 is sufficient in most circumstances… $1200 extra for 9.6 and then who knows install cost of setup for intelligent backup power for home makes me uneasy (love the idea though).

It's required in order to be able to add the "Max Trailer Tow" package which gives extra battery cooling, so I'd personally probably get those options even if I never intended to tow because it may have some effect on resistance to thermal issues.

It also allows you to plug in an RV, or power your house, or charge another EV if necessary, etc.

Absolutely worth the money. One of the best features to add and trust me, will be helpful at times. Have it on my pro and there’s no way I would have purchased it without it. Already sold my gas generator as it’s way more powerful.

It obvious Ford targeted markets where people drive already drive EVs-- CA, NY, Texas. Its more about bringing a pickup to EV fans Vs bring an EV to pickup truck fans.

I guess Ford figured in they could convince people to ditch teslas for f150s easier than they could convince pickup owners to transition from gas pickups into EV trucks.

It also makes sense that the barriers to EV ownership(example DCFC stations) is an easier hurdle along the coast than it is in middle America
I 100% understand this. Coming from a family full of people with F150s, Rams, and Silverados, I am the one switching from an ICE F150 and they all think I'm nuts. I've dreamed about owning an electric F150 for 5+ years. That's why I went for it.

I've been looking for the source of that info for the past 20 mins but haven't come across it again. There is so much discussion around the pricing, the incentives, etc. it's difficult to sift through. One place I didn't look was Farley's twitter account.

In their response to me, Amps quotes "presented at time of sale," which was both worded differently from what I wrote and the exact phrase I remember reading. Once the information flurry slows somewhat you might be able to run some forum searches for "presented at time of sale" and see what the discussions have been.
I think 'presented at time of sale' means that the Private Offer cannot be redeemed or used for anything except as a manufacturer discount applied (presented) when the dealer sells the vehicle.
The main concern I have is two-fold: 1) if dealerships are doing the "presenting" (and it's not clear to me whether they are or aren't based on Amps' description in the unquoted portion of that post) I am imaging scenarios where $7,500 credits turn into $1,000 credits or whatever, and 2) What's with the dog and pony show?

They're either offering price protection or they aren't. Since I aren't willing to go on record as offering price protection I think it's reasonable to infer they won't be offering it in these "private" offers. I can't think of a reason to not disclose what it will be other than it's not going to generate positive press. To me it's yet another example of Ford catering to its dealership network at the potential expense of their customers.

Regardless of when/how these so-called offers are going to presented to customers, it's that latter concern driving me to conclude Ford still hasn't figure out how fundamentally it needs to change in the 21st century.

I think I've read all the posts (17 pages worth). Did I miss if the FCSP is still included with ER or is it gone all together?
