I finally received a different update beyond the usual "ready for shipment since 9/22."

Apparently my truck made its way back up to Ramp 59 in Dearborn after having been in Flat Rock and was received by a carrier on 10/2.

The lady I chatted with said she couldn't see the name of the carrier, but I guess this is slight progress? (but not really...)

Something showed up today! Got to take it for a quick spin today and took care of paperwork. Pickup is tomorrow.

Note; the used car market is cratering, at least locally. The value of my Raptor is down thousands from just a few weeks ago. CarMax and Vroom both came in lower than I was able to get the dealer. Still a steal overall considering I get 2022 pricing and the full tax credit.

Welp... I checked this morning and my eta changed to 10/7-10/13.

Not what I wanted to see but at this point I'll be happy to see it when I see it.

They definitely like to slide the delivery ETA dates out so they can create the appearance of delivering "early."

Even if by some miracle my truck was delivered today, it would be +13 days from my first ETA, but would look like -6 from my current (8th!) ETA.

Tonneau cover arrived today. Truck has been sitting awaiting shipment for 14 days. Blah!

Which tonneau cover did you go with? Looking around for one.

tonneau arrived today. Dealer just called truck got there can have it about noon tomorrow. Who has two kids soccer tourneys this weekend and can’t get it till Monday?!? This guy.

actually follow up what are key things that are not usual auto stuff to check at dealer? Lightbar alignment? That type of stuff. Someone most have a list.

Well, this morning was the first time I tried the heated steering wheel and got nothing. I will have to check it out some more and see if it was a fluke, but I suspect I am headed back to the dealer.
