What really makes this frustrating is that this system has worked perfectly in our Mach-e for almost a year. What did they change to break it!
What changed was that @Ford Motor Company said this is their most important model since the Model T so naturally they make sure it’s forgotten about like the Model T

I set the departure time 15 minutes before I actually want to leave. Then, if I don’t get the message telling me my cabin is toasty warm, I remote start. While this doesn’t help the battery preconditioning, it at least means I’ll be warm. Sucks to have to create a slightly wasteful work around for a function that should just work.

+1 for preconditioning not warming cabin, I blame reading this thread as it's always worked previously /s. Ford app notification says your cabin is up to temperature, get in and it's cold AF.

@Ford Motor Company Please put this up the priority, temps are dropping daily.
Good morning! Please send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info, and I can look into your concern on my end.

There is no need for a VIN or Ford Dealer, just move this up to the software developement team for a fix.

This morning the heated steering wheel did not work again, however yesterday afternoon it worked perfectly after failing in the morning. It’s a software issue I believe, communication between the 15” screen? I don’t know.

Hey guys. Just got my truck a week ago. First 5 days no issue. Then all of a sudden my truck won't charge during the scheduled times (12am to 6am) Wednesday into Thursday there was a fault and it clearly didn't charge at all. Last night it started at 4am and says it will finish at 9am.

Anyone else have this issue? Should I delete my location and start over?

P.s. this is with the ford travel charger 32a.

I’ve had the same issue a couple of times. I usually check my app right around the time it’s supposed to be charging and if it isn’t charging then I end up going into the garage, unplugging and plugging back in, then it will start charging as scheduled.

Again, these seem to be all software issues, and also app issues. The only option on the App is to Start Charging to 100%. Why isn’t there an option to just start charging?

Could you please have software reps make an account on this forum to take our feedback? It would really help your dealers out by not having a bunch of EVs taking up time slots for ICE vehicles.

This.

I can reconfigure a Panelview HMI screen in minutes at work. Add buttons, subtract buttons and change information displayed. And I'm only an Electrician. How an automaker the size of Ford, with their resources, can't make simple changes and push them out in a reasonable time is beyond frustrating.

Preconditioning is mostly working, but the heated steering wheel is unpredictable for me. If I get into the truck without preconditioning the seats and steering wheel will heat up as normal (usually, though I did have an instance the steering wheel come on to heat when I only chose the seats ). Preconditioning has not heated the wheel twice, nor will the steering wheel heat up if I manually turn it off and back on (via the touchscreen).

This week is cooler so I'm making notes whether it is every time or just randomly. I'll call my dealer after I gather data.

Also not related to this thread, but got the air dam error warning again this morning on the drive in.

I had my preconditioning set for 5:45 this morning for warm. Didn't get into the truck until 5:50 and my heated wheel worked my whole drive. Very confusing.

Same here, this is exactly what happens to me.
