Well I’ve answered the age old question, “Does my massive truck fit in my garage?”.

The answer is yes. Was it worth the anxiety and tedium? No.

Good to know if there is ever a significant weather event I can put it in the garage though.
I love my front camera, turn off the brake hold feature, which makes creeping up on tight spaces easier, I put up a soft foam barrier that keeps my truck off my cinder block wall.

I picked up the truck, paid full price. Tired of going back and forth with Ford & dealer. Ford asked me to tell dealer to contact special resources (set up between dealer & Ford) to find out what happen. Dealer refused to contact directly with Ford.
Hi Tiigerzz, I am also in California (Northern). Which Ford dealer are you referring to?

So truck arrived at the dealers in Wednesday. Going to go to the dealers this afternoon, I have come to the conclusion that I am going to pass on this. As much as I like the truck, I don’t like it to the tune of $100K. Sticker price is $88.3K+10.25% sales tax + LIC fees + extended warranty + tonneau cover. Just don’t think it makes sense. So I going back to the drawing board. I want an off-reading and recreational vehicle more than a work truck. So going back and rethinking the entire selection.

FWIW, the warranty can be added any time before the factory warranty lapses. On my previous truck, I activated it at 35k miles.

If it helps the math work better in your favor. 🤷‍♂️

hey congrats with your 23 Lariat ER 511A package
does that come with partitioned lockable folding storage under the rear seat as standard as part of your 511A package or did you have to order that as separate option?

or did it come with any partitioned lockable folding storage at all?

Ok this both embarrassing and a happy circumstance!

went to the dealer, with every intent to pass on the car and focus on getting a bronco. Wife test drove the lightning, and then came back to dealer and sat in the bronco! Game over. She said to buy the truck. Because of the MY22 pricing, couldn’t turn it down.

Could you explain a bit more please!

and also May I ask where you bought your warranty and how much it was. Feel free to PM me if you like.

So (unless something has changed) you can purchase a Ford warranty at any time, as long as the factory warranty (3y/36k) is still in effect. This means that there's no rush to buy it day 1. In addition, there's an argument to be made *against* buying the warranty day 1. What if it's stolen, or wrecked before you hit that 3y/36k? That warranty was for naught.

I have an 05 F350 that I bought new in 05. Well, as the warranty was getting close to expiring a few years later, I added on a Ford extended warranty. This meant that I was able to not incur that warranty cost until much later, which made it more affordable to me.

Caveat:
The warranty will very likely cost more in the future, as labor rates will be higher.

There is a dealership here on the forums that offers Ford warranties for $50 over cost. And that's a waaay better deal than your local dealer will offer. Check in the appropriate thread for it.

@Granger Ford is the one, I think.

I just bought an 8 year, 100k mile warranty from Granger for about $1500. It can be transferred or if something happens you can get a pro-rated refund minus $75. My dealer tried to sell me a warranty with a monthly payment that would have added up to over $8k so I showed him the Granger site. You will also get 22,000 FordPass points with the truck and you can apply that to the cost at Granger (about ~$100).

I did not know that part. Will have to read up. That makes me more likely to go ahead and invest in it sooner.
