My understanding is that is not accurate. In fact, I just picked up my23 with the private offer. I believe the private offer was specifically for 2023 models due to the price increase. I hope that helps
Private offer goes to those who were invited to order MY22 but who deferred their order due to preferred trim (e.g., Pro) not be available to order (again) until MY23. If the private offer was limited to MY22 it wouldn't exist because it offsets the price increases announced (in August) for MY23. Update: Ford CS was able to confirm Program Name, Program # and my personal Certificate # over the phone. So, there should be no issues if you fit the profile for the Private Offer.

Good morning everyone! Between traveling for the holiday and traveling to the saddest part of Texas to pick up my truck, I am severely behind on updating the spread sheet. Regardless, 10/17 is now up to date!

It looks like only 6 of you have not arrived at the dealer yet, mainly the Californians. If you have an update, let me know so I can close this group out. We are getting close!
Mine has been off the train since the 23rd, still waiting for a transport truck to bring it to the dealer the last 100 miles.

So I was just notified that the heated steering wheel delete is permanent and that there isn't a planned reactivation of the feature. Is that what everyone else was told at closing? I was told a month ago by my dealer that they would be able to activate it later for free. Any help?

Edit: seems super stupid to cancel over that change, but I'm worried about not being able to use steering wheel and seat warmers to lessen the SR battery drain with the heater running.

Out of curiosity, who told you this? I have been told many things about this from my dealer, Ford CS, and the internet. I do not think anyone really knows yet.

According to Ford Authority, there will be an FSA (https://fordauthority.com/2022/10/2023-ford-f-150-lightning-production-axes-heated-steering-wheel/)

The second to last post on this also indicates the same: https://blueovalforums.com/forums/i...ion-information/&tab=comments#comment-1194525

That said, I am getting all sorts of answers, mostly in the direction of "I don't know". I really hope there is an FSA.

It was the sales manager for the dealership.

Initially she told me that it was removed. Then later n she said something along the lines of the FSA that it would be added back at a later time. Now she can't find that information anymore and the signed agreement says that it won't be, but that may just be in case the FSA never comes to fruition.

Just got a call from dealer as well, the truck arrived yesterday. Will pick it up on Friday.
Went to pickup my truck but dealer does not honor unique private saving! They said nothing in the system, what can I do?
Have you moved recently? My dealer cannot find my offer but looked at my old address and found it
They don't honor it? Or it isn't in the system? Two different issues.
It is not in the system
Do you have any of your emails from Ford talking about it or your "Extend my reservation" email? When did you do the extend reservation?
I had nothing from Ford. Only proof I had was statement when I placed an order online.

btw, any of you guys bought Ford premium care for your vehicle? Is it worth it?
Have them use your order/reservation number as the certificate number in smart Vincent. That is what ford marketing told me when my dealer couldn't find mine.
Highly recommend you get on the phone with Ford Customer Support and have them confirm that your certificate is in the system.

Note that they can give you confirmation, but unfortunately won't give you anything in writing.
Called Ford marketing. The private offer only apply to 2022 model year. Since my truck entered to production for 2023, I am not eligible for the private offer.
My understanding is that is not accurate. In fact, I just picked up my23 with the private offer. I believe the private offer was specifically for 2023 models due to the price increase. I hope that helps
2023 models for those who chose "Extend my reservation". Doesn't apply if you didn't do that or ordered something other than the model you chose to extend for. (I.E. you extend a Pro and order an XLT)
Did you have a confirmed order for a '22? If you originally had submitted an actual confirmed order, accepted by the dealership and Ford, but did not get selected for build in the '22 model year, then they would have rolled you to a '23 model year and had you re-confirm the order and options. That's when you would be eligible for the private offer as a means of price protection.

Happened to me... Order submitted/confirmed end of June, never got a build date. I was told in August that I would be moved to a '23 model year. Reconfirmed the order, kept everything the same but had to change color. Higher MSRP, but would get the private offer. New order confirmed first week of September after being told I had to add the scales delete option. I'm now in production limbo with a chip hold, apparently. And possibly for all-season tires since that's what's still specified on the window sticker.
No. It applies to anyone who deferred to a Wave 2 reservation order. I just got my '23 with $8500 private offer.
Exactly. 2022 models had no price increase so no need for a private offer
If it helps, I ordered a Pro originally and now have a Lariat ER. I chose to "extend my reservation" as noted.
So, there should be no issues if you fit the profile for the Private Offer.
tiigerzz - What ended up happening? Seems like your truck showed up last week? Did you pick it up yet and what did you end up with for price?

I picked up the truck, paid full price. Tired of going back and forth with Ford & dealer. Ford asked me to tell dealer to contact special resources (set up between dealer & Ford) to find out what happen. Dealer refused to contact directly with Ford.

Since I bought another lightning, obviously I rejected the one I ordered. Well it came in yesterday and here is the listing on the dealership’s website. Woah.

Congrat's!!!

I have been monitoring some 2023's and ORDERTRACK.APP still shows your truck in transit as of a week after arriving at the dealership!!!!

Noticing that app is becoming unreliable, folks need to research their order status only via the SHOP sites

Interesting. I stopped tracking my truck but did get a “complete your purchase” email on Tuesday.

Yeah, I’ve noticed that forum tracker is now completely unreliable. Ford added a captcha to their order site and after a number of requests it starts making you identify objects in pictures. I spent a lot of time this morning identifying bridges, stop lights, and bicycles! There were a few times I had to do it three times and I started questioning if I was a robot or not.

Now I'm seriously considering stopping the mass tracking, this change makes it a huge time investment now.

Well I’ve answered the age old question, “Does my massive truck fit in my garage?”.

The answer is yes. Was it worth the anxiety and tedium? No.

Good to know if there is ever a significant weather event I can put it in the garage though.
