Has anyone retrofitted factory seat heaters to a Pro? I'm looking into adding heated steering wheel and would also like to add oem seat heat pads to my Pro and just use the infotainment system to control the heaters. Just wondering if anyone has done this it might safe me some time and money, as I am located in Iceland with the only Ford F-150 lightning PRO in the country... any help would be highly appreciated!

Love to read the back story about your getting the Lightning and shipping it to Iceland, maybe a separate intro thread.

a bit long story but I found the truck on Facebook, located in Austin Texas, I flew over the day after and drove it across the US to Portland Maine where I shipped it to Iceland, took a detour down town Manhattan, Times square to be more exact, a once in a livetime experience I guess this trip ;) a total of 3600 km in just 3 days with 17 charging stops (it is a standard range battery), not sure of the exact avrage speed but mostly around 70mph on the highway and average consumption was 28 or 29 kwh/100km for the whole trip

Heated steering wheel has been done on the ICE trucks, see this thread https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/heated-steering-wheel-retrofit.6022/

I read through it and I think I'm going to try and add the heated steering wheel to my XLT. I haven't decided on heated vs heated+ventilated seats yet
thanks for the link!! I think I will just go for aftermarked seat heaters, seems too complicated/expensive to get the parts from USA and install it in Iceland, including maybe some trial and error to get it working :p do any of you know where it would be best to "steal" the power for the seat heaters?

According to the manual, there are a couple of spare fuse Points:

#4 - 20A
#27 - 30A

I used #36 for my aftermarket warmers as it doesn't provide power when the truck is off. I tried #4 and #27 and both still provided power when the truck was off.

Yep, 2023 front seat heaters became standard. In 2022 only the XLT upper trim and above came with them. They made them standard so they could report a 240 mile EPA range.

Thanks biers. I'm not familliar with Ford but are there any connection terminals for the spare fuses? Or is it maybe obvious when you open the fuse box how you connect wires to the spare fuse points? Do you have any photos of your connections or the setup? Did you put the switches on the sides of the seats or somewhere else? I think Im going to try have them somewhere between the seats, not yet found the exact best spot though.

I just landed the switched on the side of the seat. I didnt see an obvious place to land them on the dash or center console. And this way if I ever swap the seats with powered seats that have OEM seat heaters, I won't have two holes in the dash.

I ordered these fuse taps off amazon. I am glad they came with spare fuses, because I couldn't get these micro2 fuses out without destroying them.

Took me probably 2 hours to do the first one, and 30 min for the second. Then another hour to figure out which circuit to use and wire them in. It was really nice to be able to use my heat gun right from the truck. I did cut the first one (passenger side) a little to allow for some of the velcro and snap fasteners from the seat cover. But on the drivers side I just put it in as is and the cover fits and sits there just fine. Less than $100 all in and very happy with it. Only problem is to make sure the passenger turned theirs off when not in use.

Your pro doesn't have heated seats? My 2023 has them. Was it an addition for MY2023? Must be why they raised the price by 40%
What does your HVAC control look like? Is there a physical button for turning on the heated seats?

Do you know what the extra pins are for innthe connectorsnfor the seats? Maybe for heated seats? :) 🤔 Would be nice to get the power from there... There qre only 5 wires in the connector on the seat but 10 on the car side wich of 3 are thick for higher current, and only 1 thick used on the seatlooks like ground wire.
