From what I read the window sticker will show the price increased but the dealer will either give you immediate credit or ford will send you the refund check. I went with Fullerton Ford in NJ they’re aware of the private offer and already listed the credit amount on the buyers agreement. I bought a Mach e from them last year in April and it went smoothly so I think this time will also be just as smooth I hope. Buyers agreement with dealer fee and all the deduction come out to 43kish total not counting the 7500 fed credit for pro.

You, @CAMB150, and I need to make some noise to @Ford Motor Company to get them to add the 2023 lightning to the NJ program!! We are losing out on a $2000 point of sale credit because of this !! My dealer said they would submit it as long as it shows in the vehicle list on the charge up site. This credit was a big reason I ordered and not we won’t get it over something as stupid simple as Ford sending an email for the 2023 model to be added.

Anybody here right with some people at the BPU?!

Has anyone successfully used a X-plan discount? I see that @jaturner was able to use the D-plan from his brother (lucky!). We have a friend that worked at Ford and still has connections so is able to get us an X-plan discount. Wondering how much of a discount that will get us and if anyone has used it with any success? I thought I had seen it mentioned in another thread on here.

I want to say 2022 models could get it but 2023 can’t ? I think I read that. I know @jimfigler got $1200(?) for x plan

2022 models did not qualify for the X plan discounts. But I believe the 2023 is on the list.

From my understanding regarding the NJ clean energy incentive program, the price tag qualification is based on the MSRP at time of order. When I ordered the pro it was over 45k but under 55k so I qualify for it and it was documented on the buyers agreement.

I completely agree with you thag we should get it but the ChargeUp contact email said the 2023 lightning is not eligible simply because @Ford Motor Company did not re apply for it. Also my dealer tried to apply it and I was unlucky that their computer system was down, so they called the program instead of just submitting it. I hope you have better luck but if you want to guarantee success…we have to somehow get Ford to submit for it to be in the program

I didn't really. When I was working on getting the $5000 price protection from the MSRP increase they came back with an updated invoice that was $6200 cheaper. I thought the extra $1200 was X-plan but it was extra that was taken off when Ford updated the invoice. It looks like x-plan but when I asked they said the Lightning wasn't available for x-plan. They just put in the x-plan info just in case it was and would cut me check later if it did get added.

Also how come your rebate is 7500 and not 7000? Did they give you a rebate for the mobile charger? Did I screw up by unchecking the mobile charger ?! I got $7000 private cash offer.

Well my Lariet Extended range Lightning is in town, not yet at the dealership. But the dealer contacted me and there is 2022 Platinum available, buyer backed out. It doesn't have any of the deletes. So am on the fence whether I should pick it up. Any thoughts.

Just wondering if anyone who has bought their truck was able to use a rate lock from the time that the truck was ordered? I had read that was a thing somewhere on the this website but my salesman just said that there is no rate lock. I am planning getting the truck tomorrow but I may swing by the local credit union if that is the case

It’s ONE HOUR AWAY! I called Ford Marketing and they said my truck got to Richmond CA on January 16th. This is only 50 miles away from my dealer in San Jose. The last leg is done by truck. The system has not updated with new ETA. Progress!

They would have had to have designated a special rate for the Lightning back then and there was never a special rate designated for the Lightning. A rate lock doesn’t mean you can get a low rate just because rates were lower in general.

Yea no sales tax here on EVs.

I’m only complaining because it’s supposed to get the rebate. Every other EV gets it besides 2023 Lightning. This was part of the reason I ordered which it stinks to now not get it.
