They "raised the price" on a truck that is sold out so it isn't a real price increase. Looks like they're just trying to make Pro-to-XLT converts feel better about only being offered the option to purchase XLT.

Given the spec, to me, the price difference between the Pro and XLT makes most sense now than it has in the past

We're not supposed to buy the pro. It's that simple. It's just a gimmick for marketing and tax credit qualification. It's only really available for fleet, and the XLT is the actual entry price. Personally, I believe the XLT is worth it at $63-$67k

...but then, of course I do... because I have one.

Why wouldn't you buy the XLT now for a few thousand more?
I might get the XLT at this price, but I don't think it's a no-brainer to pay $3500 for painted bumpers, light bar, and an "upgrade" to cloth seats/carpet.

But this brings it in line with the difference between the gas XL and XLT, so it's definitely a reasonable choice one way or another, now.

Ford F-150 Lightning Update: F-150 Lightning Prices Increase for Pro, Lariat, Platinum as Order Banks Reopened Today 1680200377189

I know they say that the Lighting and F150 share a lot of part commonality. Would be curious from an FP&A standpoint is it specifically the motors, battery, labor, R&D or inefficient raw material procuement purchasing that's really driven up the cost, as raw Lithium/Kilogram is trending down. Or is it a function of having to try and source lithium from US sources, which are going to be more expensive, in order to meet EPA / Federal incentives.

Pro is still available to fleets, I believe, but yeah, kinda meaningless to retail buyers.

The '22 Pro I bought for $41,769 (including destination charge and mobile power cord) now costs $62,369 as a '23. Wild.
50% increase! in the meantime anyone know what's happened to ICE F-150 prices? for touted the Lightning as beginning at $40k, $11k more than an ICE equivalent.

Not sure about the prices for the last couple model years but.. Ford is throwing out $1,000 cash incentives when using their financing. ;)

I'm not sure if your $11k number was for "then" or "now", but the Lightning Pro is ~$10k more than an ICE equivalent, now. $2500 if you get the tax credit. It was many thousands cheaper than an ICE equivalent originally.

Cloth seating, extended running boards, enhanced zone lighting, and a 360-degree camera.

I can't not express enough how much I use and love the 360 camera. The look from above is so useful.

There's more than cloth seat, carpet, light bar and painted bumpers but hey I get it the price bumps and interest rates screwed a lot out of a chance to buy one. If you can swing it buy it you'll love it like everyone else does 🤠

I have heard of it. Do we have pictures of progress on the facility yet?
I was hopeful they were serious. Obviously since I ponied up over 100k for 2 of these trucks.
As I said, I hope I am wrong but with prices like this going into a recession, the losses are going to mount and at what point do they pull back?
How long does it take to get to a recession. It seems like everyone been saying we are heading to a recession for the past year.

Dreaming. No one is selling 53k Lighting XLTs
There are several 2022 XLT listed for between $55-60k. they may be asking for stupid markup, but the MSRP shown on the sticker is still in that range. That's only $3-5k more than my ordered Pro.
