This thread is starting to turn into a mess. If you don't mind the price reductions, cool, keep on doing your thing. I personally think raising and dropping prices in less than a year, especially when the net difference is effectively $16K (for Lariat ERs, once the most popular build) is kinda lame. Am I pitch forking about it? No. Do I think Ford should be better than Tesla in terms of wild price changes? Yes.

Is name calling and / or soap boxing in defense of a multi billion dollar company productive? Not really.

Honestly, this thread should probably just be closed. No one minus a few will get rebates. It is what it is, outside of voicing opinions to Ford there is nothing anyone can do.
Your wrong, ford agreed to give me a $4500 refund.there is power in #s. If you don't ask its always no.

For those who already bought before the price drop, see if ford will re-invoice your truck. They might not be able to since it’s been sold, but if you can get that done you can always ask the dealer to do the tax credit paperwork if you qualify.

I would recommend contacting Ford.

800-565-3673

I Purchased Lighting June 14,2023 at Old Price called Ford after price decrease.

Ford gave me a case number and told me they are looking in to compensation.
I’ll keep you posted.
That's the Ford of Canada Customer Relation number. That number won't do any of us in the USA any good. Why didn't you tell us you were in Canada, what are you trying to pull?

I called USA Ford Customer Relations at 800-392-3673. I told them that I took delivery in February and not only did the price jump from the $79k to $86k from 2022 to 2023 on my Lariat ER but that price jump cost me the $7,500 Federal tax credit that at the time was still in question. I also told them that since the price has been reduced, I feel like I'm out $15k that I wouldn't have been if I just had waited.

The rep said they have been getting a lot of calls on this same subject. He told me to send an email to [email protected] explaining my situation and he gave me a case number. He also told me to contact my dealer explain my situation to them.

I don't know if anything will come of this but at least I'm trying.

I just got the phone with the dealer. The only thing he was willing to offer me was to trade my truck in and buy the exact same new truck at the lower cost so I can get the tax credit, not likely that's going to work.

I waited 20 months to get the truck I wanted and now he wants me to pull one off the lot?! Plus I would be selling at a far reduced wholesale price and buying retail. I don't think so.

From Ford Marketing Program HQ (emphasis mine):

We understand that the recent MSRP changes have affected not only our ordering customers, but those who have taken delivery already as well. We decided to reduce our current pricing to remain competitive in today’s market. Previous purchases, at the time of delivery, were already market competitive and therefore do not qualify for the price reduction.

We are sorry, and recognize that this is frustrating especially having waited so long for your new vehicle. We appreciate your continued support of Ford. As of right now, there are no current plans to introduce a rebate towards Lightning owners who already took delivery of their vehicles. We have taken note of your information and have added this request to our tracker. In the event that these plans change, we will contact you with more information.
For context, I took delivery 60 hours before the price change announcement. <sarcasm>It is reassuring to know that my days-old Lariat SR is competitively priced against the Lariat ER's new price.</sarcasm>

QUESTION: Are people receiving similar messaging from Ford?

Ford set a precedent by giving a Goodwill Offer to Mach-E owners that purchased between Jan 1-Jan 31 2023 at the higher MSRP, before the MSRP price drop announced on Jan 31/23. Why are early adopter and extremely patient Lightning owners being treated differently?

Ya keep us posted, I bought mine 2 days before you did and the gave me an incentive at purchase for like $6k but I wanted at least my original build price which would of been $10k off the purchase price at purchase. What do you ask for when you contact them?

As mentioned before, I bought mine 4 days before the price drop. Was I disappointed? Absolutely! But angry at Ford? No. Stuff happens in an open market

I do think it would be fair if they at least offered a "free" charging credit to those of us who were impacted over such a short time.

Yes, agreed - but none of the dealerships in my area have a high speed charger because they have yet to upgrade or get the 80 Amp charger. All they have is the little one (32 Amp) that came free with the truck.
